    Think about it... in drag racing if you use a front shock that allows rapid weight transfer to the rear and keeps it there, that doesn't translate well to road use. That's why the shocks extend quickly but compress slowly. That's not something I'd want to use on the street... the "road course"...

    It's probably pretty soft for more rear weight transfer. Not something i'd want to live with on the street on a daily basis.

    Fix the mustang and buy a decent beater. Between those two jobs you aren't making that much after taxes and to be in college with a car payment is for suckers. If it's like the college I went to, that Lightning would either be stolen quickly, trashed or both.

    Get a new power steering rack, they're only like 100 bucks. Manual steering is for suckers unless it's a track car.

    You guys don't have rubbing issues with the front fenders? On my 90 lx, i have 15" welds and a stock size front tire and when I turn the wheels they tend to rub at full lock.

    The only things I can think of right now are either faulty gauges or air in the cooling system. It's possible that the gauge needles were removed for some reason and then put back in a different location than they were originally. It's very possible that the gauges and/or sending units need...

    Installing speedo gear in tremec 3550 question

    When I pulled the speedo cable out, tranny fluid came out. I have a tremec 3550 though, so it's probably a different design than stock.

    Well there's a good coating of tranny fluid on the speedo cable so it's definatly coming from there. There aren't any other leaks other than from the oil pan bolt and the speedo cable connection at the tranny.

    Is there an o-ring or seal that is supposed to be there? Also, the rear oil pan bolt leaks as well... i put a plastic washer but think an o-ring would work better. What did ford use from the factory for the oil pan bolt?

    yes, get it tuned for optimal performance. a dyno tune with a wideband o2 sensor is your best bet.

    Installing speedo gear in tremec 3550 question

    I just got a 23 tooth gear and i haven't done this before on any car so i'd like to know what's involved. I know where the speed sensor is on the tranny but will fluid come out, any tips, etc? Thanks.
