    From experience, a belt sander is our friend for setting up but welds on exhaust. Did 3" stainless from the headers back on the ranchero, hand fabbed the X pipe and even went over the axles and out the sides. Note the header flange behind the magnaflows. Makes future work so much easier...

    You can try putting the larger meter back on, leave it unbolted and the hose clamps a little loose and start the car. Then rotate the meter to see if the miss goes away. The idea behind this is all about the port flow and where the sensor element is reading the air flows. Jamie

    I do them on all the cars I put them on and yes it makes a huge difference. Clean the welds on the primaries, then install the exhaust. Run it a few days to make sure it doesn't rattle or leak, then drop the catback and H pipe out. Take a dremel or die grinder and open up the ball flanges...

    question about valvetrain

    Personal experience says stud over pedestal every time. Mine came with 3/8" stud 1.6 cranes and they are fine. Had troubles with pedestals coming loose on customers cars with performer heads. Jamie

    Make sure the T stat is in correctly first... Spring goes to the intake, not the hose. Pop the upper hose off and feel for the pointy end, not the flat bump where the spring goes, That usually causes what you describe. Jamie
