    Call me crazy....

can you really make a sleeper mustang? especially when its blacked out with a noisey motor, and nitro purge system? not to mention the thing will prolly sound like a dirt bike......i guess it would be a cool car for some ricer idiot, but he wouldn't like it because you cant do burnouts using the...

    Wtf???

waaaaa my v8 rules...i hate turbo motors...im awesome i totally agree with warpig, 4.56 gears and a 11:1 CR $4000 head is a much better setup then a $400 turbo swap, especially for daily use, why do you guys keep telling people to do the turbo swap? stupid......... :flame: warpig53j

    Crash!

having worked in a body shop, i would say that you shouldn't fix that car. It will definatly need some time on a frame machine, and the gaps are never going to line up perfectly. Even if you get the car fixed your going to have to sink a ton of money out of pocket, and when it comes time to sell...

Best bang for the buck for handling on a hatchback?

v8 springs will cause the front end to stick way up in the air because they are stiffer and longer. The prokit springs for the 4cyl are what you want.

Best bang for the buck for handling on a hatchback?

search for the thread but I belive you can put sway bars all the way to a 98 model on your hatch. If I was going to do what you want, I would buy the biggest sway bars I could find, or an panhard (sp?) bar for the back, boxed rear control arms with urathane bushings, subframe conectors, have the...

    so i think its junk

put it in the paper before you give it to the junk yard, a mustang is always easy to sell for parts no matter what is wrong with it, even if u get $100, thats better then just giving it to the junk yard

Relocate the front struts? Questions on an idea.

the suspension is designed using computers, and all the angles are pretty precise, and made that way for a reason. I wouldn't go and try to rig up some kind of spacer just so you can fit wider tires on the car. Try a thinner tire, or a rim with different backspacing

    pep boys brakes review

you get what you pay for....so if you can afford expensive stuff and are going to need to drive the car for say the next 3 years, then the better quality parts are prolly a better investment for you. I generally by the cheapest parts and install them myself, and I never buy a warranty, that is...

    Swaping 2.3L for 5.0??

personally I'd look into the 20.0L swap. Its a v8 for every wheel. Go ask the guys in the hybrid cars forum. Most of them have done it cuz they get great gas mileage.... :notnice:

    Fuel injection for V6?

Just to throw my two cents into this thread.... 1) although 2.9 heads will bolt onto a 2.8 block, this swap isn't possible without a custom ground cam. The arangement (order) of the intake and exhust valves in the 2.8 is different from the 2.9, so you would need a cam ground with 2.9 specs...

    Possibly buying an '87 TC

Going to install an 8.8 rear in my 92 LX

they are the same...however while your in there you should either grab a set of aftermarket boxed control arms, or at least some urathane bushings for the stock control arms off of ebay. Its not very expensive and it will really tighten up the back end of your car.

Does a free flowing exhaust have neg. effects on N/A?

stinger, what tail pipes bolt up to your y pipe setup? It looks nice, dose it bolt right up like a stocker? Im starting to gather the parts for my turbo swap and I am going to be in the market for a downpipe and exhust rather soon.

    2.3t Plymouth?

That would make for a real nice cruiser. Alot of power in a nice car, without all the noise of a v8. And I'm a big fan of any old hot rod that someone hasn't stuffed a 350 chevy into :barf:

    93 Steering wheel conversion question

i had an air bag save my life once, gave me a little black eye, but it allowed my to walk away from an accident where I hit a pickup truck broadside at 50mph. Anybody who thinks they are safer without is crazy.

    Motor rebuild

you have to check it to see if it will be fine. Some 2.3L (most likely yours too) only need a simple hone job and then can be thrown back together with new rings and gaskets. Tell them you want them to clean the block and inspect it. After they inspect it, ask them what they think and if they...

    93 Steering wheel conversion question

its illegal to drive / sell / inspect a car that has an air bag that has discharged and not been reactivated. So I would bet that the air bag is in there and is ready to go off, so make sure you disconnect the battery or you'll be in for one hell of a nasty surprise. The other thing, im not...
