I use Mother's Billet polish and a microfiber towel on mine. I don't know, but the UPR "shiney" stuff doesn't seem very durable.

If it only does it on start up in the morning, it could very possibly be starving for oil because the filter drained out. Change to a Motorcraft FL-820S filter and try again. This is a very common problem. The Motorcraft filter has a good anti-drainback valve in it.

Check your belt. It may be slipping.

My '96 GT came with a Mach 460 system and no CD player. I recently was able to get one. I need the harness to hook to the head unit. My Ford dealer says no, that I need to buy a wiring harness for about $400 that goes all the way into the trunk. :bs: Could this be true? Please help? Thanks...

I have a complete set on my '96. They are very firm and handle well. The one weird thing is the IAS valving in the front makes clicking noises like very loud lifters on bumpy roads. Drove me nuts for a while trying to figure it out. All in all I have liked them. They're pricey for sure.

I have read elsewhere that you can't get replacement plates. This is to deter "cheaters". Does anybody know if that is true?

I have to agree with SVT Saleen, do your research. For instance, according to the manufacturer, a Magnaflow True X pipe #15447 is 50 state legal because it welds in behind the stock cats. It does not effect the function of them. It, according to them, is considered part of a CAT back system.

My .02. I have a '96 GT and an '01 Cobra. I put Eibach Pro Series springs on both. Both lowered about 1 1/2". From my perspective the look is right, no 4X4's here. U M is right, you'll scrape on stuff. Speed bumps are treacherous. I say personal preference.
