It's good to hear Mustang Steve is putting out the rear kit, I bought his front kit for my 66 and it's sitting in a box waiting for the painter to finish.     The decision to me would require some other determining factors...like: 1) Is this a daily driver? 2) Will the car see a bunch of track time? 3) What kind of performance am I looking for? As you said the stroker would have a pretty serious bottom end and the 302 would have a decent top...

    Here's what I did to save money to buy my 66. Worked as much as I could, set a dollar amount I needed to pay bills and everything over that I transfered into another account and forgot about it. I'm not the most responsible person with money either but the out of sight out of mind stuff worked...

    Finally bought my t5.

    A 4 cyl transmission will require a smaller pilot bearing, the input shaft length is the same. The conversion bearing is about 15 dollars. The only issue with using a 4 cyl tranny is they are only rated for 265 torque and a stock 289 is close to that. They are weaker but I've heard of a bunch...

    I have a Pro 5.0 and I use a Hurst 60s style handle and love it. It makes the throw just a touch longer but the feel is great.

    I have the gaskets and timing chain, my Edelbrock RPM Cam came with the lifters already in the package. I'm not exactly trying to skimp on parts cost but this motor is probably going away next year or so. I just want to pump the old lady up a little till then. The motor still runs strong...

    Need some advice relative to new wheels, discs, and possibly rearend

    I run 17x8 all the way around with 4.5 backspacing and no mods other than the Shelby drop. I run 235/45/17 on the back and 205/40/17 on front but could have run 215 or 225s up front without a issue. No wedge kit needed in my world.
