    front disc conversion kits

I've been running a SSBC non-power "Super Duty Brake Kit" A120-2 since 2001. The install was a piece of cake. Kit came with rotors, calipers, hardware, and master cylinder. Functionally there is no compairson to running front drums.

Updates on Rack & Pinion kits???

Sorry about the delayed reply, been off the forum for a while. Here's my experience with Flaming River: I purchased the FR rack and tilt coulmn kit in April 2004 (FR300-65PL). Turns out there was a gap of about 1/2 inch between each sleeve and the outer tie rod. I guess they didn't realize...

    pro-m negative wedge kit

I agree with SnakeStang65 & DarkBuddha. I went with new upper / lower arms and ball joints at the time of the negative wedge install, so I didn't have to worry about removing the old joints from the arms. Pro-M kit only dropped stance about 3/4". I got more of a drop from a set of Magna 620...

Anyone reloacted their upper A arms?

Other than a little time and effort on the install, this is a great mod to help out handling. Check out the pro-motorsports thread posted by Hack a few replies above, their negative wedge kit has everything you need.

MSD Ignition kit vs. Beer and Fireworks?

I mounted my MSD 6AL on the driver's side apron as mentioned above. She starts easier, burns cleaner, and averages 22-24 MPG on a c-code 289. Drive train is basically stock at this point though, for comparison. Funny thing was...I got better mileage commuting 40 miles each way in my...

Who's changed a steering box before?

I had a hell of a time getting my SMB-J long shaft box out of my 67. After pulling the wheel and column I had to pull the driver side header, the engine crossmember, and jack the engine up about an inch and pull the driver side motor mount. After all of that I still couldn't get the box out...

    Auto Antenna & Molding ???s

I installed a custom autosounds power antenna in the stock location without any problems. Only two things were kinda difficult: removing the metal cover behind the wheel that seals off the fender (two screws were on inside, hard to reach) and the provided attachment nut was smaller than stock...

    Steering column wiring question

I purchased a Flaming River tilt column to go with my R&P setup. The column uses a GM wiring harness and comes with an adapter. The column wiring has 8 wires (Horn, LF turn sig, RF Turn sig, Hazard, Turn sig power, LR Turn sig, RR turn sig, and Brake light). My dash connector has 9 wire...

Any one ever use a flaming river tilt column???

racerxlilbro - I had the same question, and this is what I found out from Flaming River: The standard kit column from Flaming River is not a collapsable column. However, a collapsable column can be substituted for an additional cost. I forget the specific amount, but it was in the...
