    I like my Vert, but it is of the 4 eyed era. It weighed about 3050 with a carb motor and driver. I am putting the A/c and heater box back in it with an EFI motor, so we'll see if I can keep it around 3200 fully dressed.

    yup the synchros are worn past the point to where it started eating the blocker rings... Very common on 4cyl T-5's in V8 cars. lol I've also had them pop out on customers cars with improperly adjusted shifters

    I saw a couple instances in this thread...4.10's are a Lower gear than the 3.73's, although they are a higher numerical number. And yes a lower geared car (4.10's) would reach it faster than a higher geared (3.55), with all factors being equal and driver at optimun performance.

    I had a stipped 84 notch (no options) that weighed 3050 with me in it. It had a 93 H.O. motor, Motorsport B303 cam with 1,7 rockers, shorty headers, 650 dp, stealth intake, with a T-5, and 3.73's. It went 12.70's @ 105 launching it at 5K on worn out slicks.

    yeah that is more like it. I priced them about 3 years ago for my 66 (tight clearances) and they were 2.19 or something a piece. Do the math, it is closer to 20, than 200. But thanks for the laugh :lol:

    yes they mean the boots. I was refering to the pics by DonJuan. You can also gain a little clearance by running an Accel "shorty" plug. Any speed shop should carry them

    Roller cams can run much more lift and duration because of the fast ramps. if you physically look at a roller cam, you can see how the lobe comes to a "point" compared to the flat tappet. The old school flat tappet cams can't compete with the rollers because they (flat tappets) can't follow...

    '69 302 heads on a '95

    They will physically work, but my question is why, unless they have a bunch of work done to them. They will need hardened valve seats if you plan to run any unleaded fuel through them. Like I said, unless they have been heavily ported, stick with the stockers.

    I just thought that was high for individual pieces, hell the flowmaster ss "natural" finish were only 160 for the pair. I figured the pair if them would be cheaper than the individual prices and then twice as much shipping....

    got a part # and price by chance? I found them individual at Summit RAcing, but don't know the part# for the pair. They have them for 113.99 a piece
