I don't see how a F.I. car would make more power with mufflers when it's not dependant on back pressure. I realize that having no mufflers is somewhat illegal in a lot of areas, but a N/A motor vs. a F.I. motor are two completely different things. I took the mufflers off of mine this weekend...

Yes, there is a gas guzzler tax on the car, I believe it's $1,000 but it may be higher, not sure because I bought my 03 used. There really shouldn't be any issues with it if it's never been driven, just give it a good look, check for scratches and start it up, make sure fluids are ok and such...

I got mine for $24,500 so there are deals on used '03's but you have to look for them. Also, they started offering incentives on the 04 models now I believe.

Yeah it's used, obviously. It has 33k miles, but it has a build date of 7/02, so its been on the road almost 2 years. Not too bad, I put a lot of miles on cars, but for $24,500 I couldn't pass it up, it drives beautifully.

Retail vs. Retail was what I meant. The 2004 Cobras (although there aren't many left) retail for about $35,500. I got a killer deal on my 2003 though, $24,500. :-)

They're not much from a roll because of the AWD and the weight. My buddy has an 05 STI and he ran a 13.29 @105 bone stock. The fact that the car can hit low 13's from the factory is pretty cool considering it's a 4 banger. But they also have tons of room for improvement, if you catch a modded...
