    97 Cobra runs hot in the summer

    Definately! You must have this to direct the air up into the radiator. These cars don't have the best cooling systems anyways. I participate in road course events and if it's above 80 degrees, my car gets hot after about 10 min of WOT. I'm looking to upgrade to a Fluidyne this spring.

    How fast are stock 99 Cobras

    I have a buddy with an n/a'd 03 Mach1 that ran a 12.6 at the track on Sunday. He does have 4.10's and forged internals and ran on ET Streets to do it. I say if a Mach1 can run in the mid 12's, a 99/01 Cobra can run in the high 12's n/a'd with the right boltons.

    Question on Flowmasters for '99 Cobra

    I know money was the issue, but I highly recommend staying away from Flows and going to Magnaflow. There are shops that will weld in a pair of these for you for less than $200 total. You'll get a good sound and better flow increasing HP.

    general matinence ??

    Mine is lowered 1" and I can get a jack under the k-member and slowly jack it up to place jackstands under the front. On the rear I put it under the gear housing with a piece of wood between the jack to keep it from being metal on metal. This should keep it from getting damaged and causing a leak.

    Everyone swears by 4.10's for these cars. I might go with 3.73's instead only cause I plan to put a Kenne Bell on there in the next 1-2 years, once I save up the cash!

    I only drive mine 1-2 times a week and put 2-3k miles on it per year. I change mine twice a year, once in April and once in October.

    +1. Ignore what rims are on the cars cause you can easily change those out. I put 10.5" rims on mine back in April and they really fill up the fenders nicely. Makes for a much meaner stance!:)
