Right now I have stock midpipe with the SLP catback. On my old stang I had o/r H pipe, 2 chamber flows, and long tubes and it sounded so mean. I really miss the old flowmaster sound, which is why I wanted to go with the one chambers. I have heard a car with the SLP catback and a o/r X pipe...
Glad I found this thread. I have the SLP catback now. The muffler shop told me that I couldn't run once chambers because of the offset. He said they would not fit under my car (2003 GT). Do you have to modify anything for them to fit? If not then I am ordering some tonight.
He told me...
It sounds good, but it isn't the sound I was really looking for. I fell in love with my old setup and have always loved the flowmaster sound on mustangs myself.
guess I will be getting some 1 chambers soon :)
My town is going to be doing the sniff test in about a year so I need to keep my cats. I am looking for the loudest street legal combo that isn't raspy, I want that deep rumble sound. Any ideas? I have looked over at mustangexhaust but that doesn't help much.
I really want some single...
I have a set of 18x9 and 18x10 Bullitt wheels. My plan was to have 265/35/18 up front and 295/35/18 out back. But since I will not see the track until next summer and all, I don't want to spend a lot of money on tires.
Would there be a big difference running 285's in the back with 265's...
I have just the SLP catback with factory mid pipe. I like the sound myself. It is different than the Flowmaster setup that all the stangs in my area have. It is loud, but could be louder with a o/r mid pipe, which is what I plan to do next. The fit was great, and the quality of it is...
I just took my stock catback off two days ago when I put my SLP on. I had to break out the sawzall and cut right behind the stock mufflers and then un bolt the rest.
Speaking of DIY. My catback is coming in Tommorow and I plan to take my stock catback off today. This way it will save me some time tommorow in doing it. I figure I can jack both sides of the car up and place on two ramps ( like the MW write-up says ) is this the best way to jack the back of...
Would gears void the warranty? I just got my 2003 about a month ago and I still have a set of 4.10's in the box that I was going to put on my 01 before I traded it in. But I don't want to have them installed if it will void my warranty just yet. Sorry to hijack the thread.
My first car, and mustang was a 95 v6. Then when I was 18 I got my 2001 GT, then I just got my 2003 GT. I would start with either a 94-95 GT, or a v6 for starters. After a couple years or so of either paying off the car or saving money, get a GT.
I would just take it to the body shop. When I got my steeda hood painted on my old stang, they had to blend in the panels so everything looked great. So to keep from messing anything up I left it to the pros.
Wow, I feel sorry for you. Might would be better to go out of town to another shop and just rent a hotel and stay, you would still be saving money, haha
