Want a heat exhanger? Now is the time to buy IMO

I have seen no evidence on any forum justifying the price increase unless your drag racing your car.

Which SVT Mustang Cobra would you rather have?

Absolutely not. If your looking for a daily driver, non-modded stock car.. then your right. No comparison at all. BUT, if your thinking about modding then you have to go with the S/C car if $$$ are a concern. Why? 1) forged internals- don't even act like ford would pay the extra $$ to do this...

    Anyone have buyers remorse yet?

Same power as a Cobra without a blower?... and lighter?.. and only a few hundred made?... same here!!

    Anyone have buyers remorse yet?

I totally agree. Roush is a ripoff. I hope to God SVT does not die because those tasteless fools will be taking over likely.. the 03 will be the last Cobra I ever buy if that is the case.

    03 Cobra mods?

Regarding the P1000 code, and this may not be true, but I have heard from a current Ford mechanic that the P1000 code will clear out after approx. 10 startups since a flash. Like someone else said, all this code is saying is that the other codes were cleared out and the computer has not fully...

Want a heat exhanger? Now is the time to buy IMO

http://www.lightningforceperformance.com/catalog/productDetails.php?productID=1140 The LFP unit is on sale for $299. It's gotten very good reviews on the modularford website, and is WAY cheaper than the gordsford unit. I don't think its even half price. It's a direct fit and on sale...

    Anyone have buyers remorse yet?

If you like the looks and want a more comfortable ride to work then of course there is no better Mustang to buy than the 2005!!. But if you want a 4v 4.6 supercharged with forged internals + 6spd tranny to start with, for the same price, and are willing to sacrifice the bumps of an old chassis...

    Anyone have buyers remorse yet?

To me there is just no value comparison. You simply will spend 3 times as much money trying to mod an '05 GT to get close to the power of a pulley'd/ported Cobra. People here talk about better starting points.. well an internally forged 4v 4.6 is exactly that. Wait for the next Cobra if you...

    04 Cobra or 05 GT

I understand the generalization your trying to make, but have you ever driven a Z06 and C6? I'll give you that the Mustangs were sitting on archaic chassis and the '05's are significant improvements. But comparing a C6 to Z06 is like comparing a Mustang GT to a Cobra. Your talking about a...

    New Owner

UM is right. Although I have been using the thin stuff as having your oil changed and your car inspected for free every 3 months by the dealer is the absolute easiest way to build a good relationship and document service= less warranty headaches!!

    04 cobra next mod

I would also warn against looking into existing Billetflow TB's. Doug himself has said they have yet to find a permanent fix for the sticking problem. Damn nice looking piece though!

O.K. here are some new 05 vert pics.

I think the Mustang Vert's always look better than the Coupes. I would love to see a black on black vert..

    04 Cobra or 05 GT

-Boat-anchor depreciation.. sort of a moot point since this applies to all cars, anyone that buys a muscle car for resale value should be having their head examined. -I agree on the threshold comment. But the larger displacement will in no way make up for the added weight... it just makes for...

    04 Cobra or 05 GT

Well I can't say many more times that I have no doubt that the 2005 Mustang is a surely a much more solid car and vastly refined. I think the big disconnect here is what your purpose for owning a muscle car is in the first place. Here is a great question that I think would highlight our...

    04 Cobra or 05 GT

For about $300 you can add a pulley and tune to a 2003 Cobra, and it will smoke the Z06 that you couldn't justify for the price. There is not other vehicle being sold today that gives you the same value. Like he said, demand more for your money guys, if you want to be competing with the big...

    04 Cobra or 05 GT

that is why i said 'great company'... amazing. As for what RICKS wrote, I whole heartedly agree that the Mustang needed a change. I totally agree that the tooling was out of date and they needed to start from scratch. But like RICKS also eluded to, I DON'T agree that this means the old...

I Now Understand what the 2005 Mustang GT is All About

To all '05 lovers: I've said many times that Ford has done a GREAT job with the '05 in that its a quality build and a great value. I try to bite my tounge until provoked. A search of my posts will show that I've expressed praise to toward the new Mustang where praise is warranted...

    04 Cobra or 05 GT

Thanks for chiming in to respond to my comments when some members of a Mustang board are branding all pre-05's "JUNK". Like I said, great company.

    04 Cobra or 05 GT

my M5 posted better times and is more comfortable. but I usually drive my Maybach to work. my Enzo is pretty nice too but you wouldn't like the bumpy ride that piece of junk.

    04 Cobra or 05 GT

Your sounding ignorant. And why so angry? 1) Go read me the covers of this months major car magazines. Ya know, the magazines people buy when they are interested in a car? 2) Tell ya what. I'll give you my car if you can point me to a majority, or even a few, major car magazines that...
