    If you want the most out of the car and price doesn't matter you just answered your question and 4v is the answer. In stock trim no Ford 4.6/5.4 2v head will flow what a stock 4v head will and also you get a safe 7,000 rpm redline out of the 4v heads in stock form.

    4.10 Gears

    As everyone has said, with the TR-3650 in 5th I'm ~ 2,500 RPMs @ 70 mph and a tick under 3,000 RPMs @ 80 mph. I've driven the car several times from Indiana to Ohio (~7 hour total trip) and I get right at 24 mpg on the highway with them... usually traveling between 70 and 80 mph.

    Also, according to what I've read the truck PI heads have a 12 bolt valve cover and the car heads have 9 bolt valve covers. Something you might need to look into if you're using a set of truck heads.

    So from what I'm understanding. The 2v 5.4 and the 2v 4.6 use the same heads and cams? So it would be a fairly straight forward swap. I need a shortblock and all I'd have to do is swap my heads, cams, and intake manifold, tune it , and I'd be good to go?
