    before putting a spring compressor on it I would normally give the thing a hit with a rubber mallet!! But the problem is that you need something "solid" on the bottom of the valve, try the old rope in the spark plug hole, bring it to TDC and try that.....

    You really need a fuel pressure gauge! It sounds like your regulator is set too high, this forces fuel past the needle and seat and you get flooding! A holley blue runs around 15psi, holley carbs are only going to take 7psi then the pressure will force the needle off the seat, gas will fill up...

    yes, the Graphite lube is available at any parts store. The good thing about it is that its a runny liquid, so geting along the length of the cable isn't a prob.     If I did lube the cable, I would use something with liquid graphite in it. They have some that is advertised for locks, but also works good for cables, after the initial lube is gone the Graphite is left behind for permanent lubrication! Just my $.02

    I would have just puy in the longest one until it's flush, a thread isn't doing much after it gets past that first coil, thread depth should be 1.5 times the diameter. After that the diameter of the bolt is weakest.

    EFI Filter on Carb Setup?

    I have a 90's GM EFI fuel filter here, was going to throw it on the car when I put 1/2" Fuel line front to back. Anybody advise if this is ok? On a tight budget but want a filter on there! What placement fr filter, before pump or after. It's a rear mounted holley blue, yeah I know! :canflag:
