    ROH Wheels

Bought 17x8 Snypers from Group A. They had the best deal and fast shipping. Very happy with them. :nice:

Electrical people please help! spout connector

It is available from your local Ford or Lincoln Mercury dealer. Base part #14489. I think the full part # is E35Z-14489-A. Not totally sure of the part number, I'm off work this week recovering from surgery:eek: so I can't check it for you! I keep one on the shelf at work and some of my techs...

isnt the value a rip off?

KBB, NADA or any other pricing guide will not be accurate on "specialty" cars like Fox body Mustangs. They are very slow to reflect accurate values due to the market changing so fast. The bottom line value is ALWAYS what someone is willing to pay for any given car. We are lucky, our beloved...

    Time to un-pimp ze auto...

Look at the bright side. If no one ran over it, at least his Mom will get her ironing board back!!!:D

    cervinis lx body kit

That is exactly what I put on my '88 LX. The Cervinis LX kit and a genuine Cobra wing. I can't upload a small enough pic, Stangnet won't allow it, says I "already used it in another post" "I need pics of lowered Foxes" thread. Look in the "My Garage" section, I think a pic is in there. I guess...

    You know your old when.....

You know you are old when you see a Mother and teenage {late teens} daughter at the mall and you find yourself looking only at the MOM! :D And you say to yourself, Damn, I'll bet she's hell on wheels in the................ KITCHEN!!!!:rlaugh:

    Florida auto techs

My guys get 17-25 per hour turned depending on their experience. This is at a L-M dealer, should be much of the same in all of Central Florida. Most likely more around the Metro areas but the cost of living is higher there. Be careful wanting to work for Ford as a tech. The last few years Ford...

    T5 To AOD Swap

I was thinking about the same swap for my '88 hatch. I can use the perfect T-5 out of it for my '88 FHP car restoration. I only use the '88 hatch for a cruiser so I don't really care about performance. I can handle the mechanical changeover part, but I was just wondering about whether or not a...

    Any body use freeze 12?

HEH HEH HEH! I've still got 20 or so 12 oz cans of {gasp} the dreaded, ozone killing R-12 left! No retro fit for my Mustangs! I don't think it is that big of a deal to retro your Fox car to R-134. Certainly not $600 worth. Get a fitting kit, new drier/accumulator and pressure switch, then...

Added another diecast to the collection FHP!

I bought the same FHP car off of E-bay. I also bought a Kansas car to repaint all black that will match my FHP Mustang when I finish restoring it. I have to go all black and NO police lights due to Florida law if I want to drive it at all!

    Wing or no wing??

The wing looks good on your car. Nice size, balances out the cowl hood. Very subtle looking. Keep it. :nice:

    69 windsor heads

Once again I'm relying on my memory, but I think '69 Windsor heads were a direct bolt-on as we used to put them on 289s and 302s a lot. Where the coolant passage is a perfect square on all 302-289 heads, the passage of the '69 Windsor heads are L shaped but still fit within the square of the...

    Headlight seal

The 4 little clips that hold the hold the rubber seal down should be good enough. It had been my experience that any non-Ford headlamps will require a re-seal. Easy to do with clear silicone before you put them on. That is unless you enjoy taking them back off 3 weeks later! :D Both sets of...

    69 windsor heads

Boy do the "69 Windsor heads" bring back memories of the "bad old days"! You know, back when the early Windsor heads were the best a Ford guy could hope for in an inline valve head! You know, the days BEFORE 25 choices of aftermarket heads, in BOTH aluminum and iron! :D To answer your...

Are E7TE pass & driver side heads the same

The usual problem with swapping sides is the threaded hole {5/8-11 thread I think} is carboned up on the original backside, making installing new inserts a huge PITA. While you have them off and/or at the machine shop, have the original back un-inserted threads tapped out and install new...

Anyone swap 87-90 fenders with 91-93???

I've got the Mustang with both fenders on one car. My son's '93 has the stock '93 on the left and a '90 on the right. Got the car that way. The ONLY difference is the taper from the moulding line DOWNWARDS on the FRONT of wheel opening. Of course that requires a matching front lower extension...

Can I bypass the heater core to lower H20 temps??

Is your lower air deflector still there and in good shape? The one on the bottom of the radiator support. I had the exact same highway heat-up, city drive cool down symptoms when I stuck the 302 in my Bobcat wagon. I had tossed out the factory deflector during the swap. Bad idea. I reinstalled...

Anyone know the quality of these headlights?

It has been my experience that any aftermarket lamps will need to be resealed. Only genuine Ford lamps won't need sealing before installation. Both my non-Ford "diamond cuts" and a set of offshore stock replacement style lamps fogged up after a week or two of rain or a car washing. Easy fix...

    289 crank

All 289s have a 2 piece rear main seal. Late model 5.0s have a 1 piece. The rear of the crank is machined differently. 289 crank in a 302 block will give you only 289 cubes {stock bore} regardless of rod length or piston height.
