I talked to the dealer this morning and he said that the rivet is just to hold the bracket in, so can be drilled and either left out or replaced with a screw. I'll give it a shot and let you know how it goes. Thanks - jb :D

Anyone done the trunk lid swap to remove the wing? I finally found a guy with a wingless V6 that will switch with me, but it looks like there might be a special tool or something to remove the lock mechanism... Anyone got any idea?? :shrug: I've been searching for a matching wingless lid...
