    Ford's 400HP 5.0 (Coyote) V8 spied !

If they just took a Duratec 37 and added 2 more cylinders you would get 4.93 liters. Hummm... Of course the Duratec 35/37 is a 60 degree engine, and the one in the pic is obviously 90 degrees, but you get the idea I hope. Remember, the old 302 (our beloved 5.0) is really not a 5.0 but a 4.9...

    Ford's 400HP 5.0 (Coyote) V8 spied !

The bucket tappet arrangement used on the Duratec heads make it have much shorter cam covers. Much more efficient and cost effective valvetrain. Very simple and the materials make it so you do not have to check clearance until about 150k miles. Big step up from the old SHO V6 (which had a...

    Ford's 400HP 5.0 (Coyote) V8 spied !

From what I can see of the heads, they look like a copy of the ones on 3.5 Duratec V6 like in my Edge. Also notice how low the Coyote sits in the engine bay. Built to be COMPACT. I swear Ford added two cylinders to a Duratec 35 and spread it from 60 to 90 degrees! The Duratec 35:

    C6 Zo6 getting whipped by 05 stang

Both cars spun bad in first. The man driving the Vette is not friend of ProMod's (the Mustang guy) or Ford's in general, and he was talking to my brother-in-law and admitted that first was hard to hook, but it hooked in second. The Vette was really starting to come on at the top of the track...

    C6 Zo6 getting whipped by 05 stang

YOU are wrong. I was there too, and it went down just like that. Sorry, but if that had been a stoplight race, that Zo6 would have gotten beat.

    New to fox

Actually a stock forged ('87-'91) shortblock will hold 500whp just fine so long as the rpm level is kept in check. Keep her below 6200 rpm.

    Best DR for 4.30 gears?

Have yet to run the nitrous or the new engine at the track. If the 28s would fit and look okay, I might go with them.

    Best DR for 4.30 gears?

My new engine will make peak power somewhere between 6800-7200rpm. I am running 4.30 gears. Which DR should I use? The MT 275/40/17 (26"), or the M&H 275/50/17 (28")?

Anyone tried the AEM EMS for the Mustang?

Again, thanks. I don't want to be at the mercy of my chip tuner everytime I do something major.

so whats the stock cams powerband??

I am pretty sure that test was done with AFR 185 heads. Nonetheless, it was very impressive. And that was a "later" stock cam (a little milder ramps than early ones.
