Even though I haven't had my Stang in over two years, I know that mine would do that. Every vehicle I've had with a manual transmission did that. Normal. Don't try to jam it in, just stop first, then you should be good to go!
Someone else will have to chime in to confirm, but as far as I know, the only difference should be the hangers at the tailpipe. That should be an easy fix, as they should unbolt from the car.
:jaw: :jaw: :jaw: :jaw: :jaw: :jaw: :jaw: holy mother *****! i guess i've been living under a rock or something. my last house, although just a trailer, wasn't really that BAD, i only paid like 200/month for...plus i had almost 2 acres of yard! damn...i'm never ever ever moving into a city!!!:OT:
i had 3" stainless tips on mine. total price was something like $60 or so welded on. thinking they were 18" long or so...you couldnt tell they were just tips unless you crawled under the car. at one time i had 3.5" tips, those looked too big imo.
edit- i got mine at my local muffler shop. i...
yeah just for future reference for everyone, if you are getting rid of your cats, dont gut them. cut them out and replace with straight pipe. then take the cats to your local salvage yard/recycling place and you can usually get $20 or so for each good one!
actually, you can use regular glass pack style (looks, not design) mufflers with sidepipes. just weld them as close to the mid pipe flange as possible, i'm thinking some 18" long muffs or something. i used to have a pic of this setup, but dammit i cant find it.
i don't know what difference that would make from just having one turndown on each muffler? but if you want loud run sidpipes with some sort of straight thru muffler...get on the skinny pedal and plug your ears! (sucks to be the guy trying to pass you on the highway with his windows down ;) )
it looked blue because it was blue= valve guides.
but anyhow, sounds pretty good. i had the same exhaust on mine, but it wasnt loud enough for me. weld some 3" stainless tips on there and it will be much deeper...
don't follow people so closely? i've never had a problem with the front bumper chipping in ANY vehicle. and as stated previously, a bad prep could be the problem as well...
hey '66....my GTS had GT seats......from the factory....so now what? :P
oh and i've been told a GTS could be had with a factory V6 style wing? my wing was a gt replica that had been added later on.
