    My 5.0 LX died... help!

IT'S ALIVE!!!! Turns out that the wire from the starter relay to the fusable link burnt through... go figure. I though it was the link that was supposed to fry first! What happened was that the P/O had a ton of stereo wires run throughout the car and one was directly plugged into the fuse box...

    My 5.0 LX died... help!

Just grabbed one from a 1990 off a buddy. I'll be transplanting it and troubleshooting the system in the morning. Thanks for the "good luck", I'll be needing it!

    My 5.0 LX died... help!

Great diagrams! Much better than the tiny ones in the Haynes manual. I'm getting a suspician that the ignition switch might be at fault. Going by the diagram, most of what's not functioning routes through that switch and the other things that are working, don't get power via the ignition switch...

    My 5.0 LX died... help!

Thanks for the quick replies! I tried the column switch as you said but it's tightly attached still. I unplugged the connector and reattached it but still nothing. I can't find any wires burnt, connectors loose and fuses blown under the dash. Man, this is pissing me off. I don't get why I...

    My 5.0 LX died... help!

So here's the deal: I have my 89 5.0 LX for sale and let a guy take it out for test drive this afternoon. He had it out for about 15 minutes when for no reason, the car died. The engine stopped and the gauges went dead. Also, the heater blower, radio, 4 way flashers, turn signals, wipers/washer...

Road and Track Mustang issue - Goat infiltrator!

Everyone is quick to slag the styling of the new GTO but for all of its blandness, it's actually quite the sleeper. I wouldn't mind 400hp in a car that the Police thought was just a Cavalier... maybe they'd stop following me! :bang:

How much have have you endured?

My GT has been into the dealer (twice) for the following: 1. Shaker 500 replacement. 2. TSB on 5-speed bellhousing bolts missing. 3. Front upper strut bearing clunks (no TSB fix yet). 4. Howl/vibration from clutch release bearing (not fixed yet). Annoying? Sure. Do I still love it? HELL...

Bad News For All Mustang Owners

I don't hate German cars... last year at this time I owned a 1975 911S, a 1969 912 and a 1987 924S. One year later I have a 1989 LX 5.0 and a 2005 GT and all of the Porsches are gone. I miss them a little but the Mustangs do more than make up for it! :)

It is nice but I'm afraid that the owner decided not to sell it... I guess he thinks it's nice too! :/

    Calypso Green in 1991?

Been looking at a lot of Mustangs for sale lately and I came across this 1991 in the bright Calypso Green: I can't find any info on this color other than it seems to only have been available in 1993. This car appears to still be wearing its original paint so how can this be?
