Who Is Up To Date On DCC Fan Controllers?

I still have the original FK-35 with the Contour fans. He's probably still building the controllers one at a time whenever he gets an order. When I changed from the Mark VIII fan to the Contour fans, I bought 2 fan connectors from Rock Auto. I had a heavy duty terminal block in my parts bin...

    Engine Tuning...?

You can't go wrong with the Holley but you will have to know what injectors are in there now. Same for any other after market ECU.

88 speed density misfire and bucking

It's probably the fuel pump. Fuel pressure can be good at idle, but not under load. Attach a fuel pressure gauge to the Schrader valve with a long hose, zip- tie it to the wiper blade so you can see it from the driver's seat, close the hood & go for a rip. You will probably see the gauge drop...

1987 5.0 speed density Foxbody crank no start

OBDI is very limited. Since you have spark & fuel & air, there will be no codes. From your original post, it seems like the clutch is still partially engaged & with the low compression, there is too much load for it to start.

New Battery Type (size) for the Fox Body

Specs say it's 2 in. wider. How is that going to fit the stock battery tray? A Group 59 is slightly larger than the Group 58. Because of the ProCharger supercharger, the stock battery tray is moved from the driver's side to the passenger side, where it's located on the 4 cyl. The mounting...

Idles great, but stumbles when driving

Fuel Pump. They can run perfectly at idle, but when under load (car in gear on the road, not on lift), they will do exactly what you say. You will see the mechanical fuel pressure gauge drop to zero & then recover, over & over again. In my case, the pump sock had come apart & a bit of plastic...

New Owner: Very Clean 1991 GT Convertible. All original with 21k original Miles. How to make it better?

See my signature for suspension upgrades, which I did before all the other mods. The Tokico 5-ways are no longer available, but the non-adjustable are.

    Engine EEC-IV Problems

The Snap-On MT2500 is an OBDI scanner. Don't know how Snap-On connected or worked. The connection should be at the diagnostic port under the hood, not directly to the EEC-IV ECU. Ford, GM, & Chrysler have different connections & pinouts. BTW, OBDII was not mandated until 1996. You can still...

Engine 1990 LX 5.0L EFI Mustang Fuel Management Problems - HELP!

You don't need the T-Rex boost pump any more with the 255 lph Walbro in-tank pump. The T-Rex boost pump was only needed to supplement the 88 lph in-tank factory pump. Unless I missed it, are you still using the factory A9L ECU & MAF? Neither are calibrated for 24lb injectors.

    Fuel Bad regulator diaphragm?

I have the Kirban & a Walbro in tank 255 pump & 47lb injectors. That is normal functioning for the Kirban. The return port on the Kirban is not very large & can only compensate for a certain about of flow as can the return line on the car. I drilled mine out slightly & maybe dropped to 37...

Resolved Fuel pressure high at 52 new FPR same thing

FYI. The Kirban FPR is now 3X the price they used to be. A replacement diaphragm is now the cost of what the entire FPR was. Dollar cost over the past 10 years is 33%, not 300%.; over the past 15 years, it's 45%; over the past 20 years, it's 62%.

Resolved Fuel pressure high at 52 new FPR same thing

Sorry, late to the party here. Went through all this over 10 years ago. The only FPR that will work with the Walbro 255 high pressure (GSS 340, 341, 342) is the Kirban. Even with that one, the return orifice inside the FPR can be drilled out slightly (the center hole). Still won't go lower...

Progress Thread French dude with a '79 Fox joins the forum - have less than 2 decades to get running!!

I think those are the TRX 390 wheels. These were the top performance-oriented wheel option available at the time. However, the unique size made tire options very limited. The original TRX wheel measured 390mm in diameter and 150mm wide. This measured out to 15.35" by 5.9" and explains the...
