    Two questions on my 98 Cobra purchased a year ago: - The 1-2 shift is very notchy. Thought I'd have the gear oil replaced with new synthetic. Believe it comes with syn...anybody replace theirs that made the notchiness go away or at least minimize? - Had the power steering hose up front...

    Steeda STB for '98 - Question - Help

    Just received a Steeda STB for my '98 Cobra. When I line up the brace with the strut towers, the back of the brace is 3/4" to 1" shy of the firewall. Called Steeda and they insist I have the correct brace and that once I torque down the brace to the towers it will be flush to FW. Sounds like BS...

    How to secure STB to Firewall for '98 ?

    Thanks for the reply. I believe I'm getting the Steeda, however my real question is, how do you get nuts on the back of the firewall? Do you sneak a hand up in the footwell? I would think thats a bear to get to...thanks.

    Has anyone added a strus tower brace to their '98 Cobra? Wasn' sure how you'd secure to the firewall without pre-drilled, pre-tapped holes? Do you just use metal screws? Doesn't sound strong enough....appreciate anyones' feedback.

    Apreciate the input. I noticed you had a '98 as well....was it difficult installing the strut tower brace? I'm concerned there are no pre-drilled, tapped holes for an STB. For the strut towers, you can get your hands under the fenders to place the nuts for the bolts. However, how do you anchor...
