    Can someone run a Carfax for me?

    If a dealer has the car, they should give you a Carfax report for free. Just ask for it. When I was looking for a car I looked at several dealers and all it took was my asking for it and they ran the report off right there.

    GT driving lights with a twist...

    I think the lights look hot. They add something to the front that hasn't been done before. I like it. That being said, I've never been a fan of the grill-delete. It would look WAY better if you could find a way to cleanly cut the grill to have those fit in. Now THAT'D look good. :D

    Does it say anything about the V6? I'm going to check it out when I get home today and see if I can see anything to disconnect. Maybe just disconnecting the power and then resetting the computer.....?

    Yeah, that's what Pep Boys said, too. But the Ford dealer says it does have one. How did you rip yours out? Was it easy? I'd love to get rid of the thing (it's damaged anyway) so that stupid engine light goes off. Any suggestions?

    Is there any way to bypass the air pump in a '99? I just had my inspection yesterday and they said that it fails simply because the check engine light is on. They want $80 just to run a test to find out why the light is on and any work is on top of that. I already know why the light's on...a...

    My '99 has 53,000. I got it two months ago with 50,000 even. I put 3K miles on that thing in two months. Kind of sad.

    Okay, I have a hard time admitting this, but I was in an accident recently. Nothing major, but both the front and back bumpers need replaced and the exhaust needed repaired (I used this as my excuse to upgrade to the duals :D) Anyway, the mechanic said that the air pump was, quote, "Crushed."...

    Are 99+ 3.8 V6 Mustangs prone to Head gasket problems?

    I really looked into this before getting my '99 and everything I read said that it was only pre-99 models that had the problem. Ford completely redesigned the 3.8 engine for the 99+ models and they've redesigned it again for the 2005s.

    Not entirely true. Every 1999 model was branded as 35th Anniversary, but only the special edition GTs had the full treatment. They had the 35th logo everywhere, on floormats, gague cluster, etc. Mine only has it on the outside. But yeah, I love mine. Mine's a black V6 auto with about 53000...

    I think the 05 is gorgeous. I'm going to stop by a few local dealers just to look at it. I won't be able to afford a new car any time soon, but I just have to see it in person...sit in the seats, hear the engine, etc. I love it!
