CHE K-Member Brace with Torque Limiters

I noticed no NVH. +1 about the car torquing over when you rev it. Feels kinda niiiiice.......

    Shifter opinions

I like my Hurst, but I haven't tried any other shifters to give you a comparative opinion. I can tell you this: The CHE brace with the torque limiters probably helped more than the shifter itself. Even with the shifter, 3rd gear was a nightmare (while power shifting). With the CHE k-member...

    2010 Mirrors

I agree. Those Agent 47 mirrors are taxing, though. However, I would imagine that getting the 2010 mirrors through a dealer won't be cheap, either.

    New Wheels and Tires...Help!

Springs are about $200+ (depending on the manufacturer) and the installation is about $100. Full suspension? Way too many parts and options to break that down.

Predator custom tune and dead battery

The tune should still be on there even if the battery has been removed. You can plug the Diablo in, and check the tune that is in your car now to be sure, but I am 99% sure that the custom tune is still in there.

    Gears are in

+1 OP: I had gear swaps on a lot of cars, and if they whine at the beginning, they whine forever. If they are whining now, he may have not shimmed them correctly. i would take it back; at the very LEAST let him know so it is not a surprise later on where he could tell you it's your fault for...

    My Gtech quarter mile numbers

+1; exactly. The accelerometers have no way of calculating the time it takes your car to leave the staging area. Most newer accelerometers, if you read the manual, it tells you this and tells you to add .35-.5 seconds (depending on how fast/slow your car is) to the time it reads and you get...

    Stock Headers

I can only speak for myself, but after 50-100 miles of driving the car with no cats and the CEL light on, my car eventually learned to deal with it and the light turned off and the car ran fine. The tune I have now compensates for it, and I do feel the car running harder, but the I'm sure...

    Stock Headers

I had the same problem. Once I put my headers on, it went away. It not only improved he sound, but the rattling inside the car disappeared, too. It was shaking so much, that I would think my phone was going off in my pocket, but it was just the exhaust making it feel like it was. Very annoying.

I think only Motorcraft makes them.

How happy is everyone with their CAI's?

+1 on the BamaChips tune. Fortunately for you, Doug writes tunes for both the SCT & Diablo tuners, so I would go that route. His tunes are great. It the Bullit CAI the same as the Ford Racing and Steeda CAI's? I'm digging the airbox that your CAI has, but I think my MAF housing looks bigger...

    Anybody installed a Hurst shifter....

I did it with basic hand tools on the driveway without removing the driveshaft. It is by no means impossible.

2006 Mustang GT cabin air filter?

All S197s (V6 or V8) have them, and they are all in the same spot.

    Cabin Air Filter Install

I though it was fairly easy to do, but I did look up a write-up online to help me out. I don't see how it could hurt to do it.

    Favorite mustang color?

I feel ya. I see so many Stangs on the street, that I purposely shopped around for one in Lime to avoid ended up next to a car that looks just like mine on a daily basis. I have absolutely no regrets on my decision to hold off for a Limer. Fortunately, I had already seen some on the street...

    Favorite mustang color?

This is my 9th Mustang, and none has turned more heads than my Legend Lime. Only 13,864 ever built and only 5,048 of them were GT's. Less than half of 1% of all S197's ever built are in this color, and they were very rare back in the day when this color was introduced, too.

Thinking About Joining The 3V World! Opinions Wanted

Don't stress the Shaker 1000. It's very heavy, and does not quake all that much. You are better off with an aftermarket system; it will sound better and be lighter. I think it was '07 and up with the iPod connection; not sure. Nothing a good aftermarket radio can't fix instead of paying the...
