    instrument illumination mystery

    Probably loose light bulbs. In my 2001 explorer, the lights for the heat/cooling controls would go on and off seemly random for awhile. Then i'd hit it hard and they'd come on. Then they just stopped working. Took the dash apart and the bulbs were loose. Reseated them and it works great again.

    We need purple gauges because some of us really dislike the standard red and green ones that are always offered. If they're still installing MyColor when I get a mustang, my gauges will alternate between blue and purple.
