    Borla Axle-back mufflers on a 2011 V6

Just installed Borla "Touring" replacement mufflers (axle back)- and what a difference in the sound! Deep and throaty, and when accelerating a howl that is menacing to say the least! BIG chrome tips! I like it!:nice:

Battery dies every other day if car is not started daily

There was a problem with the early 2005's related to the CD/ sound system. The CD player was constantly "seeking" a CD, and when it was not played (even if the system was "off") it would seek until the battery was runb out. About 2 days. There was a recall on the CD players, and mine...

Anyone have any issues with warped rotors?

I just replaced the rear rotors on my '05 GT- 13,000 miles- I got a pulsation at the pedal, and knowing that Ford doesn't cover rotors under warranty, I took it to a past Ford technician who now has his own shop. The rear rotors were the problem, but were too thin to machine. He suspects...

    The steering wheel

I THINK the '05 wheel is supposed to bring back memories of the first federally-mandated padded wheels, which appeared on the '67 Stang. It looked weird then- and does now, too. Fortunately, the rest of the '05 makes up for it, IMHO.

Kuwait pledges $500mil to aid hurricane relief, Qatar offers $100mil to relief fund

Japan has offered (a paltry) $ 500,000 in aid- equal to that of Bangladesh: Wow. THAT tells us something. They sell us their ricers, seriously damage our economy, and then- offer what a single rich individual could offer in aid? "....Kuwait alone has offered 500 million, and even...

My favorite thing about my new o5 V6 is...???

In order: 1. Great power in the GT- not too much, just right, even when not driving aggressively. 2. Not a line out of place- perfect look, perfect blend of retro and modern. 3. Great handling- they fixed all the issues on past 'Stangs. 4. Quality- for an all-new car: I have had one...

    Insurance Rates on '05's dropping??

How about trrack events??? eighteight: as one in the insurance industry: a. Am I covered or not using my '05 GT on a "track event"- driver education event, untimed, run by Porsche Club of North America, but on a race track?? b. Should I tell my agent? Or better to tell IF there is a...

    Insurance Rates on '05's dropping??

Article in USA Today used the '05 Mustang as an example of car manufacturers designing better for lowest total cost. Example used was (a) headlights located behind the grill, (b) a bumper that will withstand 5 MPH hits with no damage (the gov't standard stated was 3.5 mph), and (c) a better...

    Valve Train "ticking"

Anybody else have a "ticking" sound in the engine at idle- sometimes, not all the time? 6000 miles, oil changed at 1000, and at 4000 miles (Castrol GTX 5W-20), Motorcraft filters both times.

car is pulling with new rims.

Any radial tire will follow grooves in the road- whether the road is being stripped for re-blacktopping, or there are depressions from truck traffic, etc. The larger (wider) the tread surface, the more pronounced it will be. (That may be why you only noticed it with the new tires.) The...

    CAI: Affect on MPG

My understanding is that Ford uses a tune that allows 87 octane fuel- they wanted to advertise "uses regular gas", and made the compromise. This is supposed to be less efficient (less MPG) than a tune that uses higher octane. By increasing the air flow through adding a CAI, you are able to...
