Should I swap my SVT Cobra for supercharged Fox?

It's hard to go backwards by replacing a relatively modern car with an older one. You'll lose a bunch of things, like a rigid chassis and big brakes. If the Fox still has stock wheels and tires, all that power is only going to make a smoke show from the rear tires. I wouldn't. If you're bored...

This goofy looking 03 Cobra sold for $44,000

I'm glad that there are people out there trying new things and I applaud Barris for taking interest in modern Cobras, but it's not my style.

trying to decide if its worth it to keep my cobra

I wouldn't buy it back. How much is your insurance company going to give? It's probably enough to take the money and run. The insurance will pay Blue Book less your deductible, and if you're patient, you can buy a better car without a salvage title.

Oil weight for '96 Cobra with Vortech?

The car doesn't get driven in the winter. I'd like to use M1 10W-30 or 5W-30, as the local Big Box retailer sell cases at very reasonable prices, but won't go that route if not recommended.

    96-98 Cobra vs 03/04 Cobra vs 5.0/S197

    Seafoam + Cobra?

I've used it and it seems to work really well, especially considering all the crap that came out of the tailpipe. You need to do a search as how to properly use it, which is to suck it up through the PCV valve, shut off the engine right away, let it sit for 30 minutes, then drive at both high...

    98 cobra

If that's all it needs and you have a way to ship replacement parts for low cost or free, then yes. As long as the Cobra bumper isn't damaged, the fenders and headlights can be had for cheap since they're not Cobra specific.

    1997 Cobra?

If everything is in order, it seems like a very good price. I hope you enjoy it.

    5.0 Cobra or 4.6 Cobra?

This is just my opinion, but a 5.0 Cobra with so few miles shouldn't be hacked up with mods. I'd keep it stock and would enjoy it if I owned it. If your ultimate goal is just to go fast, keep looking for a '96-'98.

Looking at Cobra this weekend (Need Advice)

+1 You get more HP out of the box. I'd also look to see if there was NOS installed. Check for screw holes in the trunk, etc.

    A few Cobra pics...

Ever get a traffic ticket on it? I'm wondering what a cop would write on a ticket for the color, and if you could get out of it... "Your honor, the ticket says green. Here's a pic, clearly it's purple. He must of pulled over the wrong car."
