I had a local shop build my AOD with all the good components. The converter is a custom piece they had someone build. It was pricey but well worth it. With the AOD and 4.10's and H/C/I it pulls pretty good. I wouldn't trade it for any manual tranny but I also have a 6-speed in my Mach1.

A VSS may or may not be necesary. When I did a Mass Air Conversion my car didn't come with cruise and I didn't add the VSS and I never had any stalling issues.

I have 4.10's also with my AOD. Only gear I would run with an auto. Love them.

If you use the Cobra Chinese made intake just call Ford Racing and they'll send you a larger baffle free of charge. That will control any oil consumption issues.

Once again, you cannot use the headers if there for a GT. SOHC. The headers for the 03-04 Cobra are the same as our Mach1's. DOHC. Just be careful.

Also we have the same catback as a GT. The Cobra has a different catback seeing as it has IRS.

Not true. All midpipes are the same wether it being a Mach1, GT, or Cobra. You don't want headers for a GT being it comes with a SOHC engine.You want the headers for a Cobra being it has a DOHC engine.

Somethings not right. I have 4.30s and turn 2800 rpm at 80 mph. A speed cal would be hooked up into the side of the transmission on the drivers side. The speedcal box would be hidden near your shifter under the boot.

Here is my problem. My speedometer bounces around mostly at higher speeds. When I had my gears done I put in a speed-cal. After having the car tuned for the gears I pulled out the speed-cal but the speedometer wouldn't work. It seems once the little red clip in the connector was taken out and...
