    Power Seat Switch

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the Fox power seat switch? My driver seat is full back and won't drive forward. It clicks if I try to go further back so I suspect the switch. I don't know if there's a way to manually slide the seat forward. I want to pull the seats so I can reupholster...

    2003 Mustang V6, Pulley Problem

Sounds like one of the bearings is squealing only on deceleration. If you can't tell where it's coming from by ear, take anything long that's made of metal and touch one end to your ear and the other end to each bearing as a friend blips the throttle. Be VERY careful not to get it in the belt...

    97 V6 alternator

Are you sure it's the alternator? With a full battery, the car should start and run, although it won't run very long since the ignition is running off the battery. Check the voltage and then start the car and check it again. If it doesn't go from about 12.0V to about 13.5V, the alternator is bad.

    3.8 V6 Power Steering Removal....

I put an underdrive pulley on mine, and it slowed the PS pump down and made it a lot quieter. The AC you might take to a shop and see if it has any pressure left in the system. If it does they can pump the freon out. They might even have to do it for free, since venting it is illegal. Once the...

    Fuel Economy 1994 GT

O2 sensors can fail without triggering a code. It's good practice to replace them at 100k anyway. I don't know about the '94, but later models have four sensors but you only need to replace the front ones. I got them for $20 each from Rock Auto. 10 MPG might almost suggest a mixture problem or...

    painting rims

Forget about painting them yourself. Unmount the tires and take them to be powder coated. With all the rocks and stuff that are hitting the wheels while you are driving, ordinary paint will be full of chips in no time. That's the best way for them to stay good looking for years. I you do paint...

rough acceleration and loss of power

Not sure about the loss of power, but it could be related to your CAI. Is the intake inside the engine compartment? I so it could be ingesting hot underhood air. The factory intake pulls air in from the fender where it is cooler. As for the power band, welcome to V6 performance! Our cars have...

    Strange clutch problem

I have all OEM components, and my clutch adjustment cam is already all the way out. Even so the cable is slightly slack by about 1/2". I'm thinking I might have gotten the wrong cable, since this one is so long and has no adjustment at the fork end.

    Strange clutch problem

I have a wierd problem on my '92 5.0 LX convertible. It's always had a clutch that you had to absolutely mash into the floor to disengage after my father in law repaired a broken cable by welding a clamp on it at the fork end. It always confused me since a shorter cable should mean it would be...

    V6 Gas Mileage? Exaust?

I have an 01 V6 with duals back from the wye, and even with occasional immature driving I'm routinely getting 24-26 MPG. Replace your air filter, check your plugs, clean your MAF, and change your front O2 sensors if they're original.

    Hazy brights

I wouldn't use higher wattage bulbs. You might melt your wiring or headlight housings, and as mentioned you won't be very popular with police or other motorists. I'm pleased with my DOT projectors. I have HID low beams and stock 55w high beams, and the highs really light up the road.

    Seized Motor?

Can you rotate the engine? Does it crank but just won't start? If it just won't start, I would say the cam is simply installed wrong. Putting the stock cam back in won't help if it isn't installed correctly either. I'm guessing the cam timing is off, and correcting that will fix the problem...

    Brake pedal travel

It's the correct MC (and it is new), and it has the stock brake booster. I didn't change the pushrod when I changed the MC. Is it adjustable without pulling the MC? Getting that thing mounted past the shock tower was a real bear.

    Brake pedal travel

New brake system all around on this car- new master, lines, calipers, and wheel cylinders. The brake pedal now goes nearly to the floor before the brakes engage. I know it's not bottoming out because I can still lock 'em up, and I've bled the system over and over without getting any bubbles. The...

New alternator, now gauges act up

That almost sounds like a power on test, but it's not supposed to do that normally. Maybe try disconnecting the battery and let it sit for a few minutes and then reconnect it. The gauges work normally otherwise?

Help With My 2003 V6 Mustang - Get More HP

TB will do nothing unless you have forced induction. CAI might make 5 or 10hp. Chip will give you 20 or so. For a power increase you can feel, you can either spray it (for the track), or for everyday use have a look at Super Six Motorsports' cam and intake kits to pick up 75-80 hp. The...
