Oval port headers with square port heads ?

I was able to get ahold of Edelbrock tech support and was advised that the 1 5/8 primaries are a minimum for these heads, 1 7/8 and 1 3/4 work as well. For anyone else who may need this info.

Oval port headers with square port heads ?

I have Hedmann 88300 headers which are oval port for my '66 mustang and I'm looking at getting a set of Edelbrock e-street heads that have square ports on them. Previous heads were stockers that seemed more rectangular in the ports. Will there be any issues sealing between the two? Plan on...

    Electrical Bad ECU?

Just to update on this situation. I bought another ECU off ebay. It ended up being a dud so I paid ECUexchange to fix the ECU for about $100ish not including shipping to them, and when I got it back I was able to pull codes. Plan on spending another $100ish to send this ECU to them to fix...

    Electrical Bad ECU?

I get 26.6 on the one in the car and 24.3 on the other i took out. Guess that means it really is 90deg at dead cold? Thanks for clearing that one up. When I get back from work I will warm the engine up and see what readings I get and compare to what the quarterhorse is telling me. I do not...

    Electrical Bad ECU?

I checked the ecu inside again. No blown capacitors, the backside like you show looks perfect. Tested the ecu again between pin 46 and 60 is 00.2 ohms and 46 and 40 is 00.2 ohms. Tested pin 46 to the ECT sensor with the sensor removed and Im getting 00.2 ohms and when i switch the DVMM to...

    Electrical Bad ECU?

No, the FP runs for a few seconds and turns off with KOEO. Just the fact that my TPS, ACT, ECT are reporting wrong and unable to pull any codes I'm thinking this ECU is toast. I remember changing the TPS and ECT not too long ago. Have another ECT on the way that I can change and check to see...

    Electrical Bad ECU?

I have an A9L ECU on my manual transmission 1966 mustang with a Ron Francis EFI harness for Mustangs/Broncos that I cannot get any codes from using my OBD-1 code scanner. When I try the KOEO test I hear a few clicks and get nothing. All zero's on the scanner. I can wait a min or 10 mins and when...

Drivetrain T5 leak - output shaft when on an incline

Pulled the driveshaft and the yoke is trash. Fluid is leaking out the back of the yoke and it is worn with grooves on the surface. I will replace the yoke, u joints and bushing inside the tailshaft. I notice I have about 3/4" from the yoke to rear housing - is this sufficient or will I need to...

Drivetrain T5 leak - output shaft when on an incline

Having a hard time finding the right tool and bushing installer. Found one that said for GM T5, would this work? Not sure of the differences in this area between Ford and GM. I know the shift area locations were different...

Drivetrain T5 leak - output shaft when on an incline

Just got home and checked, it is the long seal, and the driveshaft seems to be slightly compressing it. I will change it for the shorter seal. When i touch the seal (the boot part) fluid leaks out. There is a slight wobble when i grab the yoke. Looks like you all figured out the problem. Thanks...

Drivetrain T5 leak - output shaft when on an incline

I filled the trans to where fluid starts to come out of the fill hole while the car is level. I believe i have the short seal installed and I dont think I had used any grease where the driveshaft rides against it. Are you thinking the seal got damaged? On a side note, the driveshaft is the...

Drivetrain T5 leak - output shaft when on an incline

I have a T5 in my '66 mustang which leaks through the output shaft when the car is on an incline. Had it towed, and it leaked loading and unloading while on an incline - practically poured out that rear seal. Rear seal was replaced some time ago and the appears to be no leak while the car is...

    65-66 Fastback build ?

You've done great work. Guess what I'm asking is if anyone has done it without a donor coupe? Have you considered using brand new parts as shown below? Starting with the full complete floor pan and adding the door frame assemblies, etc?

    65-66 Fastback build ?

Has anyone attempted to build a 65-66 Fastback from all-new sheet metal? It seems as if all the sheet metal is available now; complete floor pan assembly that includes rear rails, door quarter panel frame assemblies that have the wheel wells, metal dash, rear window panel, roof, cowl assembly...

Not sure if my alternator is a 95 amp or 130amp, and I cannot see any AMP identification markings on it either. Shows part #s: F4ZU-10316-AC and in the middle of the alternator on the back it says: F8DU-AA Can someone help me identify this? I plan to add an electric fan, probably SPAL combo...
