    Good info. 351CJ :nice:

Which one is better on 05??

Not an easy question, but I'd go for stock. I know both the stock and upgrade rims are too skinny for even a decent tire. I'd pic the stock wheels and probably upgrade to a nice aftermarket wheel and tire combo. The 235 are too skinny for the front and definately too skinney for the rear...

What is the best transmission for the 05?

This is a good question. An auto can be made to be more dependable and faster, a must for bracket racing. For fun, on a daily basis the manual wins more smiles and varying your acceleration rate mid take-off is much more controlled. The manual will get more MPG. If you do alot of city...

Door speaker setup - 2 PAIR?

The Shaker 1000 will be a dissappointment to some people. The cost is high over the Shaker 500 and the bass is boomy, not tight and accurate. Listen to both before making the decision. Use your own CD's to test the systems with.

    Shaker 1000 ?

Based on the reasearch TorchRed and I did... the rear speakers for both systems are the same. I'm thinking the only difference between the 1000 and 500 systems is the sub's and amps that power them. If anyone knows differently, please let us know.

    Pro's/Con's for the `05 GT?

O.K. the long awaited number for the Shaker 500 rear speakers...XW7F-18808-BB the same as the Shaker 1000? :nice: Ford blowing smoke with their "audiophile speakers" statement for the Shaker 1000 description. This implies the amplification to these speakers are the same :nice: . Looks like...

Anyone test driven an '05? +my review of 6

Yo, Hack. Here's my review. You are not the only one not happy with the steering wheel being so close to the dash. I'm not all that tall (5' 11"), but have long legs. Here's my evaluation of the GT in another thread. http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?p=4775447#post4775447

    Pro's/Con's for the `05 GT?

I saw the "audiophile speaker" discription for the Shaker 1000, but still not sure if they are not audiophile speakers in the Shaker 500. Thanks for the .pdf information :nice: I need to check out the Shaker 500 more closely I guess.

    Pro's/Con's for the `05 GT?

Well I just got back for the Ford dealership (again). Did some additional research comparing the Shaker 500 and the Shaker 1000 systems. I was disappointed in the "boomyness" of the 1000. Question, are the speakers the same for both the 500 and 1000 systems, meaning the 1000 adds the subs...

    Pro's/Con's for the `05 GT?

For those who have not driven the `05 GT 5 sp yet, here some pro's and con's from my test drive last week. I know everyone here would like more power but I think this is a place good start. Con's 1. Steering wheel is too close to the dash, with long legs and the seat adjusted my knees are...

What is the best way to launch an Auto Trans

Have you ever got a red light? A good technique is to stage as shallow as possible and get a rolling start. By doing this you can go as the last amber comes on ... and still not red light. You have to time it to match how quickly your car reacts, if it reacts more quickly you have to go...

There is an accessory available form Ford to get the 5-Spoke, GT -style wheel which includes the "Pony Spinner" center cap and chromed lug nuts. These are 17" x 8" and can be ordered in polished aluminum, black, argent, beige and silver. Too bad my scanner is out of order... but they are...
