    Mach 1 Just bought a Mach 1

There have been a couple of 4V owners that have done as good as 11.2-11.3 or so with bolt-ons and a stock motor. As far as having a naturally aspirated 4V, there's a lot of power to be made out of these motors. DSS sells a really nice 302ci/5.0L stroker rotating assembly for DOHC 4.6L. You...

Mach 1 BBK Full Length Headers...Yes or No

Most things I've heard about the BBK Long-Tubes are negative. From what I've read, the primaries don't port match with the exhaust ports coming off of the heads. The BBKs have oval ports while the heads on Mach 1s have rectangular exhaust ports, so they aren't doing much good. I'm sure they've...

Mach 1 mach 1 in the 12s on motor?

Yeah, that would have been pretty funny to see. I actually had the opportunity to line up with a stock 2003 Cobra about two weeks ago. I know these guys at a car lot and convinced them to bring out the Cobra and line up against me. I was really surprised at the outcome of the race. From a...

Mach 1 Installed PHP intake spacer.

Nice times. What's the Density Altitude like at your track? Our DA is the worst for getting good ETs. The times that I ran, the DA was at like 5500-6000 ft. Not to mention that our track just sucks anyway.

Mach 1 Installed PHP intake spacer.

Good mod choice. I installed an intake spacer a couple of months ago now, similar to the PHP Spacer. Mine was designed and produced by Roy, a member on the Mach 1 Registry site. This one is made of a phenolic material for better heat resistance, and it's actually slightly taller. The PHP...

Mach 1 mach 1 in the 12s on motor?

It shouldn't take much to get a Mach into the 12s, depending on where you live. Here's a video of a Mach running 12.54 with just a Prochamber, K&N Filter, and 275 Nitto Drag Radials: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=9001341930167775795&q=%22mach+1%22&hl=en This was obviously done...

Mach 1 I dont know if I should get 4:10s

I agree 100% :nice: I don't blame you on the swap, cause I know i'd more than likely go with some 3.73s as well. Personally, I wouldn't go any higher than that cause I do eventually plan on running some serious boost further down the road.... and learning from my friend, 4.10s don't work too...

    Mach 1 JLT RAI

...... accidently posted the same message twice, but there's not 'Delete' button that I see.

    Mach 1 JLT RAI

Hmm, all these positive comments about the JLT kit makes me wish I would have gotten one of those instead of my K&N.... :nonono: Though, i'm sure there really isn't much difference between the two performance wise.

Mach 1 I dont know if I should get 4:10s

I seem to be one of the few that is completely happy with the stock 3.55s. I had a Mustang GT before and swapped the gears for 4.10s. It felt faster, but I still lost to the same cars by the same amount, it seemed like. It was also an automatic, so I know it wasn't my...

    Mach 1 Mach 1 seats

Well, they're not exactly 'black'... the interior color is called 'Charcoal' and it's a very very dark gray, but not quite black.

    Mach 1 1st Dyno Pull

I agree... you should put that thing on a DynoJet for better comparison. :nice: Your ET is pretty similar to mine... I ran 13.61 @ 103 in mine, but i'm also at 3500ft. altitude and ran that time on a night where the DA was about 5500ft. Also on street radials at a crappy track. :rolleyes...

Mach 1 I have a Mach 1 but I dont really like the Shaker

I don't see how you could NOT like the shaker... that's part of what makes a Mach 1 what it is. Without the shaker, it looks just like every other Mustang on the road. But do what you want... go ahead and spend close to a grand on a new hood, and new cold air. :nonono:

Mach 1 does anyone know the stock wheel size?

A friend of mine actually fit some 315s on his stock Mach1 wheels. It looked pretty ridiculous, but he did it. Personally, I agree not to go any bigger than a 275 on a stock wheel, but 245s look and fit the best.

    Mach 1 Vette slayer?!

Mach 1s have to be one of the most underrated cars ever, I swear... and that can be either a good thing or a bad thing depending on the situation you're in. It was funny seeing people's reactions after a race when I told them my car was bone stock. I got accused of having nitrous on several...

    Mach 1 Vette slayer?!

Well, I ran 13.8 at 101 in my car when it was completely stock... and that was at a crappy track with crappy air. So those Motortrend testers must either really blow at driving or they do their car testing in the mountains. Go check the Mach 1 Registry sometime and you'll see that...

Mach 1 Best Headers/Questions about Bassani

Long tubes yield the best performance gain, no question. Mid-length headers would certainly be an improvement over stock, just not as much. And an X-pipe would flow better and perform better than an H-pipe.... one reason why the 2000 Cobra R came with a Bassani X-pipe.

Mach 1 ATTENTION ALL MACH 1 OWNERS!!! I NEED YOUR KNOWLEGE!

Also, you have to remember that the track and altitude you're at is gonna play a big factor in your times. The place where I live doesn't have the best of either so you'll never see any record setting times coming out of here. I ran 13.8 in my car a couple of weeks after I had...

    Mach 1 04 Mach 1 Price opinions

Awesome! Congrats on picking up a Mach! I bought my 2003 Mach back in February 2005 for $20K with 2000 miles on it. That was definitely an exciting experience!

Mach 1 ATTENTION ALL MACH 1 OWNERS!!! I NEED YOUR KNOWLEGE!

Actually, I just read yesterday on the Mach 1 Registry that someone actually ran in the 12.8s with a completely stock Mach. I saw a video a while back of a guy with Zinc Yellow Mach running either 12.5 or 12.6 in his car. All he had was a Mac Prochamber, K&N drop in filter, and Nitto drag...
