    JLT or C&L?!?!

    C&L with SCT tune. Picked up 20 rwhp. No timing and 89 octane tune. Dynoed 265 baseline and 285 after tune. C&L leaned out the AF a lot so a tune was absolutely necessary. I wouldn't put any CAI on without also tuning the motor. Period. K&N or C&L.

    There are motion sensors in the car which sound alarm on window bust, door open, cabin disruption. This is in addition to the no-start engine without key signal.

    Not sure if K/N has got their CAI out yet. Pulling the hydrocarbon trap will net you about 5 rwhp. The Magnaflow (which I had installed on mine) will net you between 5-10 rwhp. I've seen dyno results on the Magnflows only in a car and they weren't that impressive. 5 rwhp in most cases. But...

    :D I dunno. Sometimes you can get turned around on some back ass road or city street and knowing which way you are going is a lot easier with a compass on the mirror than trying to see where the damn sun is! :D And if it's cloudy, you'll be pulling over to look at the moss on the trees...

    Reason to keep stock muffler?

    I am hopefully getting the Magnaflows put on today. Can't wait. Can anyone think of a good reason to keep the stock muffler around? Thought about selling it on ebay or something. Couldn't see a reason to waste space in my garage with something I don't think I would ever reuse.

    Flashing ECU and warrenty

    Good idea. Hadn't thought of that Gonna have to call around and see if that's possible. I know you could fight any perceived problems being the cause of the flash via the Maggnusen law thing but I'd rather not have to fight them over it. Thinking about an SCT tune. Nice numbers.

If you flash it back (stock) before taking it to the dealer for service, can they tell you flashed it in the first place? Can this be argued under the "Moss/Magnussen act"?     K&N Filter

    Not for certain, but I would think that yes, it would. Ford is working emissions overall and V6 would be included. Have a look see. Pretty easy. Squeeze the intake hose right past the ring clamp (throttle body side) and if it feels solid, you've got one. It's a rubber hose, so it should compress.

    So...what are folks paying for the GTs?

    Paid 28.5 K fully loaded. Shaker 1000, side airbags, active anti-theft. Didn't hurt as bad as I thought it would since I haven't paid anything but invoice on the last 8 cars I have bought. (The real invoice). Helps to have a car salesman for a friend!!!
