    The best supercharger. . . . . .is a turbocharger.

I have noticed a small trend towards turbocharging as well. I am not an expert on either, but if you look at heads-up racing there are some instances where turbocharging has worked very well for some people's racing programs. I think it trickles down to the "averege joe" racer. I believe that...

    Next mod?

You really should consider it. A base kit is under 500 bucks and you WILL get a significant amount of extra power. After all, that is what you want... Like JB said, you can do little things here and there that will add up, but you're going to pay what you'd dish out for a nitrous system and...

Sounds good. I was told, when I was putting my car together, to run a slightly larger line from cell/tank to the pump than I was using for a main feed. I also used a -10 as the feed to the front of the car, so I used a -12 from my cell to the pump. Something you may want to try as well. I...

Went to rebuild trac-loc and pinion shaft hits ring gear: 4.56's

That's what I was thinking. If you can get the pin out enough to push the axles in and get the c-clips out, you can at least get the caps off and pull the differential out. I've never had a problem getting the pin out, but I've also never used anything larger than a 3.55 gear. If you only...

    Help me identify

looks like a vacuum line that opens/closes that valve for something in the EGR system. I would say don't worry about it, but mabye cap them both off or just re-connect them if it bothers you. I ditched my EGR stuff so long ago that I really couldn't tell you exactly what it is for...

Will EGR not hooked up cause lean condition?

If it was open constantly, you'd also have the equivalent of a vacuum leak.

I think you should see mid 10s easily. I am not too familliar with how a car would run with a c-4, but I can tell you that I went high 10s with a 306 with a stock cam/TFS intake and heads, and right around 150hp of nitrous(with a a Tremec trans). So you should be there easily with the CI bump...

    Next mod?

Control arms are a good choice. You will see better traction and handling. Finding ways to remove weight are free and can only make you faster in most cases.

    1.7 RR

The only way to know for sure is to check the clearance, either with clay or a dial indicator.

    what is the stabilizer linK?

Its the rod(threaded at both ends with bushings) which connects the end your sway bar to your a-arm. The sway bar ties your two a-arms together to reduce body roll when cornering. If there were no links, the sway bar would have no purpose.

    Factory idle ??

Yeah, that's why an alternator produces ALTERNATING CURRENT  You do want to use DC voltage to check TPS voltage. I can't remember it, but there is a specific voltage that the EEC starts to change fuel delivery so you want to stay below that voltage. Pretty useless info since I...

    Thinking about underdrive pulleys..

If you don't have a lot of electrical accessories, such as an electric fan and a big stereo, you should be OK with the stock alternator. Mainly the problem is that the alternator won't charge well at idle because it is spinning slower. At above-idle engine speeds it isn't a problem.

    LOUDEST MUFFLER/NOT DEEP

Another vote for Dynomax Bullets. Loud and higher pitched especially with an x-pipe. But IMO, don't do it. You'll just get laughed at for being another loud mustang with little bite. Fast cars have an excuse to be be loud, slow cars don't.

    10 second worthy?

IF it makes 700 HP on the sauce, it will hurt itself eventually. I've seen them last a long time, and I've seen them last 2 passes. Some of it has to do with the tune, some of it might have to do with the machine work or the way the engine was assembled. It might have to do with how much you...

    10 second worthy?

I am also a little skeptical about 500 HP out of that motor. Can we get a few more details on the motor? Stock block right? What ring package? Wrist pin - does it interfere with the lower ring land? If so is there a rail under the ring for support? How far down from the top of the...
