    Weak Airflow From Hvac

Been a long time since I've posted here, but finally getting my '67 A/C in working order (hasn't been functional really since I've had it). My car is a factory A/C car so it has the 3 speed switch. The ductwork is all in good shape and I haven't been able to identify any leaks. The vacuum...

    Edelbrock 650 Thunder AVS Carburetor

Did you get the manual with the carb? There are some handy charts in there on jet / rob / spring combos that you might look into. FYI, I had one of those A/F monitors, next to worthless... Unless you are absolutely steady state on the throttle it's going to jump around. It'll give you an...

    4-link, 3-link or leaf?

You need to think first about what you're trying to accomplish and to what extent you want to modify the car... You've mentioned "open track road racing"... Do you mean "open road" racing like the Silver State races or "road racing" on a closed-circuit track? Also, do you really mean...

    86 vs 90 O2 Sensors

Short time ago one of the O2 sensor plugs got onto the headers and melted. I bought some harness extenders (for a 90) in order to splice in new connectors. When I got them home though, realized that the "90" O2 harness I had has the '86-earlier style plug (3 prong) instead of the 87 and...

EFI - Using WOT Cutout Relay for AC

Well I'm at the stage in my re-wiring project on the car where I'm finally starting to make some terminations and finalize things. I converted my '67 to EFI (using a '90 Mustang harness with A9P computer) a few years ago and things have worked great; however in that time I've never had the...

Restomod Wiring: Painless Vs American autowire

Or you could go to Fordfuelinjection.com for a guide on modifying an existing harness. I did that and it was relatively easy.

Restomod Wiring: Painless Vs American autowire

I'm in the middle of this actually. I bought a Painless harness ("specific" for 67/68) and returned it because I was relatively unhappy with what I got. Needed modifications for power windows / locks / etc and just wasn't "painless". Bought the American Autowire kit and I'm quite a bit...

    Painless 20121 (67 Mustang) Harness - Disappointed

I checked into the American Autowire and that may be the way I go. Looks like a really nice setup.

    Painless 20121 (67 Mustang) Harness - Disappointed

I just received the Painless 20121 harness that I ordered from Summit to re-wire my '67 Mustang and have to admit I'm a little disappointed... Some background. Car is a resto-mod w/ fuel injection. I was tired of tracking down ****ling electrical issues, so bit the bullet a few weeks back...

    Lincoln Versailles Parking Brake

I just remembered that Autozone has a fairly good schematic of the brake calipers and how they come apart. Just search for the vehicle (I can't remember, but you may have to look up 1980 Monarch instead of Versailles).

    Lincoln Versailles Parking Brake

I didn't see your post. More than likely it's because either the ball bearings in the lever-arm actuator segment are frozen up, or there's too much pad gap, so even if the lever arm moves, it doesn't do any good in terms of holding power. Suggest you start with disconnecting the cable...

    Parking brake & brake trouble

I finally got all of mine to work with the factory under-dash lever. It holds, but isn't going to hold against the engine. Setup is real simple. Versailles brake cables - cut the little keeper springs a bit so they were straight instead of bent when cable installed. Made sure the pad...

    EFI harness options

I went the used (Ebay) harness route when I did my swap. It's inevitable that you're going to get some broken connectors and questionable lines with any sort of used wiring that's close to 20 years old. Sure you can "freshen" the harness replacing broken connectors and wires, but in the end...

    KRC Pump w/ Factory A/C

10secgoal - I ordered the "low flow" valve which the guy on the phone told me matched up with the 2.1 gpm valve which is standard in the TCP rack. Not entirely sure that is what I got because the effort is really light. I'm going to order another valve to increase the effort a bit, but...

    KRC Pump w/ Factory A/C

Figured I would update since I finally succeeded! Ended up buying the pump / bracket / pulley from Unisteer. They use a different mounting bracket for the KRC / GM TC pump which mounts to the timing cover / water pump and lower the pump to a location which no longer interferes with the AC...

Is this possible? just an idea....

Have you considered a 4.6 3V? Sure, may not have the RPM potential of the DOHC engine, but should be a bit smaller and has a number of other positive attributes like variable cam timing and a plethora of forced induction options if you go that route.

    KRC Pump w/ Factory A/C

I'm finally back in the States and finished the 3D model with the air compressor and bracket. Mostly bad news... Doesn't appear that there's going to be any combination of KRC pump / bracket / factory AC mount. The factory AC mount, with it's heavy cast design, simply takes up too much...
