    The new body style would have fit the Bullitt perfectly. I'm afraid Ford brought the Bullitt out a couple years too soon. I'd like to see a Boss version. If Chevy can build a small-block 427, then Ford can give us a Boss 429.

    Reading the hardened valve seat thread got me thinking about leaded vs unleaded gasolines. What is the impact of using todays 90+ octane unleaded gas in the older high-compression engines? Are octane booster additives needed for the older high compression engines (351 / 428 / 429 ) ? Thanks.

    I also doubt 160+ mph was possible in total stock trim. Car and Driver, Feb 1971: with the 3.91 rear top speed 117. 0-60 - 5.8 1/4 - 14.1 @ 100.6 What was it about the Boss 351 that made it quicker (acceleration) that the 429's? Front-end weight difference? 429 breathes...

    I'm hoping there will be a high-hp Boss version to compete with the C6 Z06 Vette. I'd like to see rear window slats, blacked-out hood, with either a shaker or attached hood scoop. As if you can't tell, I have a soft spot for the Boss. If Ford comes out with one, there will be marital discord...
