    New carb and intake manifold

I've got a 68 with a 289. Put an Edelbrock Performer 289 and Motorcraft 4300 carburetor on it and now we are having issues starting it. I can get the car to start and run at about 2000 RPM (estimate) or above, but when it drops below that for a second or more it dies. Friend I got the carb...

    Transmition guru needed

there should be a little plate riveted to your differential which has it's size, gear ratio and casting numbers. This is no guarantee that the gears haven't been changed, but is still a good indication.

    Butt welding

I have some basic welding skills, a buddy with a MIG welder, a mustang that needs body work, and some free time on my hands. Thus, I need to become a good butt welder (i'm talking about sheet metal here...). I've read some stuff on how to butt weld and I think I've got the idea down, but what...

    Help with Autolite 2100 carb!

300cfm is definitely not letting the 351w breathe to it's fullest. As far as setting up the carb, on the driver's side of the carburetor, where the throttle linkage hooks up there is a screw which will control your idle speed. If you have an auto, idle speed should be around 600-700 rpms. On...

The fact of the matter is any browser is (for the most part) just as secure as the one using it. I gamble online and use IE. I used to have a problem with spyware, then I just figured out how everything needs to be set up to stop it. It's really not that hard once you are rid of everything to...

    So $%&* frustrated

It's a 68 so the idler arm etc. are fine... This is where it implies (at least to me) that four lug is ok: "64 1/2 -66 cars have a lot of different suspension parts that need to be changed and are very costly. 67 and later share almost everything except the spindles out,(5 lug vs. 4 lug...

    So $%&* frustrated

The more I read about these damn cars the more I am hating life...My mustang was modified from I6 to V8 by a previous owner, and I saw another thread about this conversion. The link (http://members.cox.net/daugherty_pgdr_leaders/FAQ/I6-V8-Swap.htm) seemed to imply that 5 lug wheels are not...
