whats the down falls to a 351 clevland

Another downside of the cleveland over the windsor is its weight. It is quite a bit heavier than the windsor which, depending in what year Mustang you sit it in, can affect handling.

67 Progress pics & Q, concourse guys need not view.

I must admit I am over the Eleanor look, although the tail lights look quite good in my view. Having said that, it's your car and we should not influence your decisions.

The Reenmachine DOHC '67 Shelby Clone Convertible Progress

Nice. Wish I could have a test mule like that. I'm looking for a set of high back front seats for my 67 hardtop. What are those out of? Keep up the great work.

Kick panel question from a newbie

I had a similar problem on my ute and solved it by cutting a spacer out of 19 mm MDF to bring the front of the speaker out from the kick panel a bit. Spacer screws to the kickpanel and the speaker screws to that.

    '66: Fuel gauge not working...

That'd be great. $1.30 a litre down here. That's over $5.00 a gallon in your terms.

    '66: Fuel gauge not working...

I wish it would only cost me $15.00 to top up my tank. While I don't wish to hi-jack this thread, my fuel guage is not reading correctly. When the tank is full, the guage only goes up to the 3/4 full mark. When empty, or as close to empty as I'm game to go, the guage is still reading 1/4...

You have got one hell of a challenge in front of you. What are you going to use it for.......street/strip/track? With all that weight up front turning corners could be exciting.

    low oil pressure

We may need a bit more information to help diagnose the problem. What grade of oil are you using? How many miles since the engine was rebuilt? Have you done anything to the engine recently or has the oil pressure always bahaved this way?

Pictures of the 70, Lowered and with 18's

Nice ride. Sure looks better after it was lowered and the rims look tough. But IMO they are slightly too large. 16"s or 17"s would suit the classic lines better. Agree with you comments on the mud flaps.

    header heat wrap

The heat retention causes the headers to become brittle and they become more susceptible to cracking.

    header heat wrap

What other forms of insulation do you have as i have heard that wrapping headers can cause them to rust out at the wrap can hold moisture.

    Pinning Rocker studs?

While I am also guilty of looking for the cheap option, there are times when you simply have to bite the buttet and get the job done properly, the first time. This I think is one of them. Besides, the advice you are getting is from members who have "been there....done that". Take the heads...

Member Poll - Make the Reenmachine '67 project a Sticky

Just like most of you, I have been following progress of Reenmachine's DOHC 67 Shelby Clone Convertible with great interest. Surely it's about time it was made a "Sticky", after all it has now had over 7000 reads and almost 200 posts. What do you all reckon?

    Holley vs Edelbrock Carbs

With my current setup I'm getting up to 25 mpg on the highway and down to 15 mpg city, but this includes stop/go peak hour traffic as well. This obviously depends on how enthusiastically I drive. I'm not too fussed about losing a few mpg's with a four barrel but don't want to get down to the...

    Holley vs Edelbrock Carbs

Funny you should say that. I've had mine rebuilt a couple of times and it's still got a flat spot on take off and is hard to start if the car has been garaged for a few days. Following a set procedure for cold starting minimises the problem, but that's not the point. It seems that so far the...
