    2005 GT Premium 4.6 jumped time the other day and bent valves etc... anyone know if a 2010 4.6 will work without mods? For some reason when searching used engines compatibility charts show the 2010 engine is not compatible with an 05', is it due to intake and tune difference?

    Repaired mine with 3m spray adhesive, peel back and make sure you use a brush to remove all the old adhesive and foam padding, it will easily come of if you rub it back and forth with a stiff brush. Once all loose material is removed mask any area you want to keep clean for adhesive overspray...

    Engine 05gt Backfire

    Problem solved, brand new motorcraft plug was bad, no spark whatsoever. Put in an old one with 30,000 on it and car ran fine. American Muscle replaced without issue, swapped for older plug as soon as it was received.

    Engine 05gt Backfire

    Same issue for me loose plugs in 1-3, roughly 30,000 since dealer changed. changed all plugs and coil packs, now for the weird part, back fire gone but flashing check engine upon test drive.

    Any updates or resolution to your issue, experiencing similar on an 05 GT. Changed plugs and coil packs due to mis fire errors took for test drive and received the flashing check engine and louder air sucking sound upon acceleration.

    Very similar issue with mine, 05 GT, original owner just started about 6 months ago and I can't teach it down. I'm about ready to just start replacing everything in the front end. Let me know if you find a solution.

    Same here, just driver side. What did you try that failed? Was thinking of trying to disassemble and apply adhesive to the back of leather insert and smooth out.

    Anyone know if you can utilize a 2011 stock GT axle back on an 05 GT, have a problem with rattle inside one of my mufflers and looking for a cheap fix, saw some new take offs from a 2011 GT wondering if it could work without any issues on mine.

    Trunk Issue

    Has anyone had or heard of any issues opening trunk with key? Key fob works fine and is how I get into the trunk 99% of the time but for some reason key stopped working, goes in but wont turn. Any info or ideas would be appreciated.
