    Been out for a while...

Next year I am skipping December. At the start of December we had an electrical fire that forced us to move into another house while ours was repaired. hopefully that will be soon. Fortunately our losses were minimal, but it was tiresome to move, work, clean fire/smoke/water damage. various...

Oooh oooh, a new person to hate!

I tracked the problem down. I have some non-standard X-M-L plugins in my IE installations so they don't always show true IE behavior. I borrowed my GFs computer and saw the same behavior that everyone is encountering. I found the problem is that in stock form IE6 does not support industry...

Oooh oooh, a new person to hate!

Odd, what browser and version are you using? I will also emailed the hosting provider to see if they were doing anything to the server also. I tried the link in 3 different browsers and it works in each (Firefox 2.0 on Windows and Linux, IE 6 on Windows, and Epiphany on Linux).

    EXHAUST HEADER HELP!!!!!

Hooker Super comp headers for the Mustang II w/ 302 V8, p/n: 6120, do not usually require any modifications, I say usually because some one's car probably does require some grinding or other minor alterations.

Oooh oooh, a new person to hate!

I believe Blue Thunder deleted those posts himself due to the reasons he posted above. I've been toying with the whole Mustang II myths idea the last few days and started a page on the wiki regarding that subject. So add your favorite Mustang II myth and the truth regarding it, or improve an...

    OT: New Project ('91 Ranger)

Thats exactly what I am thinking, after I am finished with my 302 EFI conversion I may just go find a V6 II and a 4.0 ranger donor. Then there are the super charger kits for the 4.0 rangers, I wonder about hood clearance with those ...

    OT: New Project ('91 Ranger)

The 4.0 in that truck should be in the same engine family as the 2.8 found in the mustang II. I wonder if the motor mount and bell housing bolt patterns are the same. BTW, how many Mustang II owners are ranger owners also? I am, Kent (thinkkker) was, ...

    Possible new car.

I had the 76 outside today so I could have plenty of light to finish mocking things up and so on (I need more time to spend on the car) when it grabbed the attention of a man driving past. He turned around, pulled in, and told me he had a 76 2.3 Liter Cobra II with the white and blue paint...

    90 motor to 78 cobra

There is a difference between the balance on the two motors. The first issue is to determine what bell housing you are using. if its the Large or Small bellhousing you can using more common flexplates. if its the "tiny" mustang II bell housing you will need a 50oz balance 141 tooth flexplate...

    IRS?

I would think the AOD will die before the rear, but neither will like 400+ HP without being beefed up. another note is that you will need to put a cage the car to stiffen it up with those kind of #'s. As for the handling there are a few auto-Xers on here that can help you out more than I. For...

    IRS?

The 8" is plenty strong, and the typical 8" bearing end is the same as the small 9" bearing end (its just that we II owners have a special bearing end). I have a 302 that snapped stock 8.8" axles(when it lived in my old 88 fox) like they were twigs but it hasn't had any problems with a Mustang...

    IRS?

the 8" is a tough rear end, unless your drag racing it the 8" should be ok. An IRS will require you to build a subframe for the rear of the car and will most likely require refabricating the rear floor pan. Essentially you would be back halving the car as many drag racers do to install a...

    EFI conversion update

I do not know of any other motor mount that will interchange, in fact I am certain many people here and on the mailing list have searched as well as my self. I can tell you that an area machine shop had expressed interest in building a set of frame mounts that will accept fox body motor mounts...

    EFI conversion update

the 302 is a 90 degree V8 engine. The width and height of the engine are the majority of the reasons for the motor mounts design, these mounts also provide the correct engine/transmission angle (essential for prolonging the life of your u-joints). The V6 found in the Mustang II is a 60...

    EFI conversion update

I made this post after being up nearly 60 hours (1 and a half days) and actually forgot about the previous post when I started this thread. NOS = New Old Stock and alot of the parts we Mustang II owners get that are actually for our cars happen to be NOS parts. The reason convertable (fox...

    EFI conversion update

I had some free time today so I got a few things done on the II. First off I bolted a C4 with the II bellhousing to a 302, added a stock efi intake, broke out and installed my hooker 6120's, along with my NOS motor and transmission mounts for one last test fit before cutting a hole in the...

75 Ghia in the bone yard.

For anyone in West Texas or Eastern New Mexico that's interested: I found a silver 75 Ghia in the Seminole salvage yard. Looks like it was a V6 car, suspension is there minus the spindles. Rotors and two sets of calipers are laying on the car. The glass is in good shape, the trim around it...
