Comp 266 HR will get you in the high 12 if you can get the car to hook up decent. Just watch valve clearance with this cam or any thing bigger especially if using 1.7 rockers. :cool:

DI you have weight on the axle when you torqed the control arm bolts? You may have bound up the bushings. Loosen the lowers slightly with weight on the axle (jack stands under axle) Bounce the suspension slightly the retorq with weight still on car. Just my .02$

Does the motor sound like it has "NO" oil pressure ie ticking rattling etc if it does you probably dropped the oilpump shaft when pulling the dizzy for the intake change. BTDT! If it is still quiet or normal at idle you have a guage problem either what was posted earlier (sender disconnected) or...

Great point about gear ratio, I beleive that is a factor when setting up the dyno for a pull. Also what gear was the car in, when they did the pull?

Does this car have a brain box on the fender? IE Ignition module box? Has it been changed? If spark is weak That box wil be a possible cause.

A couple ounces will not hurt as long it is added to full tank of fuel. It dilutes very quickly. You may pick up some mileage. Maybe a few HP. Check google for acetone as a fuel additive for specific mixture recommendation.

JUst got a Track Heat intake for a good deal with a 1" spacer will the intake minus the spacer clear a stock 88 hood?

1.7 crane rockers were worth 12hp to the rear on a GT40X motor carbed 650 holley. Don't know about stock cammed motor though probably 8-10hp heads become restiction at higher lift. If the motor is over 100k rebuild it and get some better flowing heads then use the rockers Just my .02
