GT front Brakes on a V6

Scramblin_Jim I don't know if it makes a real difference or not, that was part of my original question. From my point of view the package (which does include the mounting brackets, thanks for tip GrayPony and bigcat) isn't really all that much more than a set of good pads and having my rotors...

GT front Brakes on a V6

The set comes with the calipers but now I’m a bit confused. I thought previously it was said that the calipers for the GT and the V6 were the same and only the offset was different. Can anyone provide clarification for me? Is there conflicting information in this thread or am I just confused...

GT front Brakes on a V6

Just wondering if anyone can answer for me... I have a V6 Vert with no ABS. I was also thinking of going to the GT front rotors and offset. I already upgraded my wheels and tires to something I'm really happy with and would like to improve the braking of the car. Would going to the larger GT...

    Project Home Alone

That looks really nice Twofocused. Where did you get the homelink system? That is much cleaner than the stupid garage door opener I have hanging from my sun visor.

    Trunk Latch Problems

Yes, I have the exact same problem, also in SoCal, also a vert. I find that pushing down on the trunk tends to release it. It's really quite annoying.

    '06 Convertible Tear In Top

I have an 05 vert and the only issue I have with the top is that the weather has not been nice lately and it's been up entirely too much over the last 2 weeks. :( And I'm not sure I would scream lemon just yet. It is a single defect and as you said, they have been authorized to replace the...

    Eaton supercharger kit in development!

The last email I have from Dave at Explorer Express states that they are using the MP90.

XCAL2 Top Tuner - Brenspeed or AlternativeAuto ?

Just to make it more difficult, I'll chime in that I got great service and a tune I am very pleased with from Justin at VMP Tuning. He is friendly and helpful both through email and on the phone and was patient with my mechanical ignorance.

    nitrous on v6

How does the Detroit Locker compare to the Auburn Gear LSD? Does anyone know? Which one would stand up better to the type of torque the Zex kit is laying down?

    Things are slow in here.....

Well, I said I was getting wheels and tires. Here they are. 18x9 Black Bullitt Wheels 265x35x18 Pirelli’s After looking at the results, I think the lowering springs are going to have to move up from possible to definite status. :D

    Procharger vs Vortech

Well, according to the email I received, the EE X-Charger kit for the Mustang 4.0 will include a Eaton MP90 supercharger. As you said, this is a "roots" type of supercharger. As to what that means in comparison to a centrifugal or screw supercharger, well you have to ask someone with more...

    Procharger vs Vortech

The folks at Explorer Express told me in an email response that they would have a CA legal supercharger out in 2 to 3 months as well. Their setup is based of the Eaton charger and would be similar to the model offered for the Ranger. I have every intention of putting this in my Mustang as soon...

New wheels & springs on 05 convertible (pics)

I've been trying to find a set of wheels I liked for my vert. And the OE Wheel shop is even in Riverside, right down the street from me. Oh man, I think you just cost me a lot of money. :nice: Nice color choice BTW :D

"Blown" An Epic Campaign to V6 Mustang Superiority!

Well, I can't speak for everyone here, but I know why I am interested in dropping a power adder in a V6 instead of buying a V8. One reason only. When I walked in to buy my car, the V6 was on the showroom floor and a V8 was not. I didn't wait 3 months to get my car, I drove it home in 2 hours...

    Vert Chassis Hits Carwash Rail

I take my convertible to a car wash once a month because they do a carnuba hand wax. I know doing it myself might be better, but I figure a car wash hand wax is better than no hand wax at all and I'm not entirely inclined to spend the time to do it myself. Anyway... back on subject, I have...

2006 V6 Mustang vs. Grand Prix

Drive both and see which you prefer. I did. I bought the mustang because I found the interior of the grand prix to be intolerable. I'm only 5'9", yet when I sat in the Grand Prix, my head touched the roof. That was with the vertical adjustment on the seat all the way down. Maybe I sit at an...

    Modified V6 Mustangs......Street Scenes Kits

Not entirely true, simply the first person to post about it. I have to agree with RedLine about the looks of the kit, but hey, it's all personal preference.

    Mod question

When I got my STC, the person I bought it from asked me not only if I wanted to use premium, but what octane the premium gas was in my area. A good tuner should be able to put the proper tune in your car for whatever fuel you wish to use as well as the bolt on mods you have. In fact the guy I...
