how much did you pay for your '05/'06 GT?

my signature say it all....but I bought in the middle of one of the worst snow storms in recent memory. There wasn't a sole in the dealership when I walked in. I had guys jumping out of their chairs to take my order.

    Found my dealer but....

I'm in Cincinnati. Fairfield Ford ordered mine, but they did want some money ($500) to "close the deal". I also dealt with Kerry Ford in Cincy. They wanted money down, too. I know of a few people around here who were promised discounts, but once the car came in, all bets were off. Dealers...

    Eclipse vs. Mustang

If the first time you jump into a Mustang GT and fire it up.....and you're still on the fence between it and an Elipse....well, you'll have your answer on what to get. First time you crank up the Mustang GT should tell you all you need to know.

Mustang GT vs Mazda RX-8, Can't decide which to buy

Biggest issue with dynoing the RX8 is the ECU. While I didn't try to dyno the RX8 I had, I know of others who couldn't totally disable the trac/stability control to get a "true" dyno result.

Mustang GT vs Mazda RX-8, Can't decide which to buy

OH....I did test drive the GTO, both the '04 and the '05. Still didn't like it as much as the '05 'Stang GT. It's not that I was disappointed with the GTO. But, as a total package, the perfromance of the Mustang is similar to the GTO (Consumer Reports actually has the 0-60 and the 1/4 times...

Mustang GT vs Mazda RX-8, Can't decide which to buy

owned both I've now owned both an RX8 and now, the '05 Mustang GT. I would still have the RX8 except for someone rear ending it with a Dodge RAM this past winter and totalling it. With the insurance check, I actually thought about buying another RX8. But, I thought I'd look around to see...

WOAH.....hold on here. Let me get this straight. You're new to computers. You're new to this sight. Someone points out to you that you've posted the same problem twice, and you jump down our throats??????? :bang: In all honesty, if you want help from someone here, don't come in here, out...

Get your 05 / 06 Mustang at a BIG discount!

My dealer in OH is already sold out of '06 GT allotment through January '06.....all sold at MSRP. For GTs, I doubt you're going to see any discounting until well into next MY....maybe until '07.

    '05 Transmission problems

Mine's not a rattling or buzz, but a definite, and very noticeable "clunk". I may try another service dept, but mine is within 3 miles of my home and very convenient (but still dolts). I was going to buy an F150 from this dealer. Sales guy was working up a quote for A plan pricing. When...

    '05 Transmission problems

What became of the clunk? 5-speed manual GT.....like some others, if the RPM isn't synched up (like when you are letting out the clutch with your foot off the accelerator), I get a definite "clunk" sound. Again, as someone else stated....almost sounds like a tired "u-joint". I've taken...

    test Drive

Regardless of who's buying what for whom, a dealer would be liable for any damage (or worse) for any car they give permission to be test driven. It makes no difference whether the parents say it's "OK" or not. The dealership gave their permission to do a test drive. Putting a high...

    test Drive

Aside from the issue of putting a Mustang GT into the hands of an inexperienced driver, regardless of age, I doubt any dealer will allow a 15, 16, 17, year old kid a test drive. The liability is just way too high, with or without the parent being present. Plus, given the scarcity of...

    GTO,CHARGER quicker the the STANG

Hemi=hemishperical heads used in (usually) a V8 engine to provide air and fuel swirl for more powerful and complete burning of fuel in the combustion chamber. Chryco isn't the only one using the technology (but credited with it's development ~40-50 years ago).

Sweet Mustang What Do You Think???

not my "cup of tea" but hey.....if it floats your boat....... I guess I've seen way too many people trying to make their V6s look like GTs and then trying to charge "big $$$$" for them. That makes no sense to me. If you're all show with little go, what's the sense?

    This car is just great!

One of the things you'll notice with the redfire that sometimes it will look like "candy apple" red....in different lighting, it will look burgandy. It always has "depth"....especially if you put a few coats of Zaino on it. Great color (like mine) :hail2:

    Any info pricing and incentives

NO INCENTIVES. IF (big IF) you can find one, MSRP seems to be a good deal!

    X plan in Socal?

X plan isn't going to be your friends worry. You can't get anymore '05 GTs or verts. Almost everything '05 (at least GTs and verts) coming out of the factory are already spoken for. That's the real issue. Dealers are beginning to take orders for '06 models, but the one's I've spoken to say...
