    Complaint Letter

Selling Privately For what it's worth, I sold my previous Mustang privately because I didn't want to deal with the dealer's bullcrap negotiating tactics. It was a 97 GT, auto, leather, loaded...in excellent condition with only 75k miles. I sold it on ebay and while I didn't get the full...

    Complaint Letter

Horror! I sent a similar letter describing my dissatisfaction with a particular purchasing experience to Ken Grody Ford in Buena Park, CA. They never responded. No return letter, no phone call, nothing. The bottom line is that there are more dealerships that really don't care you were...

    Trunk Latch Problems

Is anyone else having a problem with their trunk release sticking? It's not cold weather because it doesn't get cold in SoCal. I have to press the release button 5 or 6 times before it actually unlatches! crapola

How many of you are putting bessy away for the winter?

What winter? In SoCal, we only have two seasons..."Summer" and "Not Summer"...right now it's "Not Summer" but it sure ain't Winter! :)

Ricer from hell (Horribly off topic)

Good point. The Batmobile and Munstermobil are both pretty wack too but I love those cars! However, this guy should have taken some of the $ from the exterior "upgrades" and put them into something under the hood. It's not for me but someone thinks it's worth paying $8199 for as of 9/15.

Didn't Homer write The Iliad? There is a thin red line between stupidity and philosophy. Homer Simpson "Ummm...beeeerrrrr." "If you really want something in this life you have to work for it. Now quiet, they're about to announce the numbers." "It is better to watch things then...

Berserker, I'm glad you find your bike as useful as your car. :D Parked in my garage along with my GT vert are a Specialized MTB and a custom scandium-frame road bike. Roadies are people too you know! :rlaugh: We have to use "tighty wear" because those road bike seats aren't built for...

Good for you Jenn! I rode my bike to the store this weekend to get a newspaper and other small items. You're right on about the exercise too ... something that way too many Americans are sorely lacking. One thing that struck me about the newscasts during Katrina's aftermath was how fat the...

"Yea not" what? Are you referring to conservation? Substitution is a basic economic principle. If the price of something you don't absolutely need reaches a point where it becomes prohibitive, people seek substitutes. You're only really screwed if viable substitutes aren't available...

    $5/gallon

Jenn, Thank you for the compliment. What has really struck me in all of this is how too many people have opted to take a victim mentality instead of a survival mentality. Everyone wants the government to make life comfortable for them. I want my goverment to be able to respond in a timely...

No they don't. :nono: We tried that once in the 1970s and it led to shortages and rationing. What the government can do is put heavy pressure on the domestic oil companies to squeeze their profit margins to control the cost of fuel. Another option is conservation. If everyone started...

That's called price gouging and it's illegal. The authorities in Texas need to prosecute the ownership for that station. They can't double the price on the same gas they already had in storage because of Katrina.

Stick vs. Auto (not that again!)

And you missed my point too YoungStanger. Define "unregistered drivers". There aren't any more unlicensed drivers here in SoCal per capita than any other megalopolis with insufficient mass transit (Dallas, Denver, Atlanta, Chicago). If you think "unregistered = here illegally" then go ahead...

Stick vs. Auto (not that again!)

I live in LA too and battle the traffic on a regular basis. :notnice: I've got a 5-speed and while it is more work during heavy traffic I'm still glad I got it. If you want to "multi-task" (e.g. talk on the phone, eat, put on your makeup, etc.) while driving then a manual transmission isn't...

Bank Teller Checks Out My '05 GT, Then Turns Nasty

I'm glad I don't live in New Jersey and I can think of at least 100 other reasons why in addition to female attitudes in that state. Judging by the amount of crap I see on the ricemobiles floating around here, Honda Civics are highly modifiable too. You can buy really cool "747 style" wings...

Get your 05 / 06 Mustang at a BIG discount!

Empty Lots I drove past Ford West on the 91 fwy the other day and their lot was very sparse. They used to have about 7 or 8 rows, 3 cars deep of V6 Mustangs and a few GTs. I only saw three cars left the other day.

Get your 05 / 06 Mustang at a BIG discount!

I wouldn't get too excited just yet. Finding a GT in SoCal for anything below MSRP is like finding an avocado in North Dakota. You're going to have to drive all over the state just to end up disappointed. :p You can swing a deal on a V6 but the GT supply is still running below demand.
