    Idle Troubles

    +1 on clean throttlebody. Had to do on mine and mom's Taurus. Both would stall out when coming to stop light. What happens is a carbon ring builds up in bore around the throttle blade, starving the engine of air when throttle is fully closed.

    1) No and No The only thing close is Continental make a Conti Sport-2 in 275/45R18 but it's hard to get and needs at least a 9 inch wide wheel. The 275/40R18 is not too bad in terms of over all height, lowering the car helps the look too, and there are more choices.

    Use caution when torquing the bands. I was tightening the last one and strap it broke right were it is crimped under the screw, and of course the dealer has to order a new kit because I had just bought his only four. Also, my dealer said you can't get just the bands for Ford right now only...

    How is the clamp tightened If the band has to be cut off and is not reusable, how is band tightened? My guess is it needs a expensive FORD special tool to crimp ends.

    I was reading on another group, and saw that several people have had problems with the new strut tower covers being too tall and causing hood to bulge up. Sure enough I go down to look at mine in parking garage and my are too tall, so I took them off. I didn't have camera here at work...

    Hanger adjustment Yes I had to bend them here and there to get tailpipes to line up. You do have to take them on and off each time which is not too bad once the stock ones are off because there is a mounting bolt, between frame and muffler, and not much room to get a wrench in there.
