    Spark Plug Wires

Pertronix makes black wires. I have them on my "67" 289 and they fit well. They also have a life time warrenty. I bought mine at NPD and they had no problem giving me a new set when I discovered a crack in one after about two years.

Dead Battery - Stock Radio to Blame?

I also have an 05 GT that sits more than it's driven. Battery would always go dead and I had the same problem with the disc changer shuffling. I replaced the battery and now leave it on a battery tender when I'm not driving it.

    Brakes rumbling in reverse?

Ford as well as the other Automakers forced their suppliers to cut costs a few years ago. This was accomplished by the suppliers cheapening the products they supply to just meet the minimum standards. Rotors and drums for instance are so thin now that you can consider them thow-aways when you go...

    Brakes rumbling in reverse?

What you are experiencing is moisture and rust on the rotors. This can occur overnight even if it hasn't rained or you didn't wash the vehicle. Humidity or dew overnight will cause rust on the bare metal of the rotor. The problem will go away after using the brakes a few times. This is...

P/S fluid smells burnt, pump is squealing

Flushing the system is pretty simple. Disconnect the return hose at the P/S pump and put it in an empty bottle or jug (anti-freeze or washer solvent bottles work well). Top off the P/S resevoir with fluid. Have someone start the vehicle while you continue to add fresh fluid to the resevoir. This...

P/S fluid smells burnt, pump is squealing

I would flush out the old fluid from the system and replace with fresh fluid and maybe an additive that would take care of any leaks. It's worth a try before having to replace any parts.

    ABS brakes and pad wear

There are two other reasons that rear discs wear faster than the fronts. Ford engineers re-calibrated the proportioning valve to apply the rear brakes sooner to prevent nose-diving with regard to jamming on the brakes before a crash. It seems that in crash tests the low profile of most cars...

Possible to find an 05GT for less the 17,000 next summer?

You should be able to find one right now for under $17,000. The vehicle is now 5 years old, the factory warrenty is already 2 years over. You probably have to buy an extended warranty from the dealer or aftermarket.

    Bugs bug me

I keep a detail bag in the trunk with spray detailer and a spray bottle of water. Once I reach my destination after being on the freeway and getting hit with bugs, I spray the front down with water, including the windshield, and wipe them off with a damp towel. I usually try to finish it off...

    CDC Shaker Hood

Don't have any doubts. I had one of the first shaker systems intalled on my 2005 Coupe and have had nothing but positive comments and a lot of thumbs up from other Mustang owners. It sounds like the $1100 breaks down to about $300 for the install. That is the going rate at any shop that has...
