    Good luck switching to anything other than a 4.6 mod motor. Of corse it can be done, but not without a lot of problems. Lots of places will sell him a fresh long block, and it will be way cheaper in the long run. If he is really that burnt out maybe he should just fix it and dump the car.

    Free? Throw em in & see what happens. Worse case senerio is you will have to take em back out. So? By the way what is cheaper than free? I raised my fuel pressure 10lbs & it helped dramatically with no other mods. Kinda the same thing. But adj. pressure regs aren't free.

    I'm asking this same question on the SVT forum as well. Can I run a 10.5 Cobra replica wheel on both ends of my 98 Cobra? The wheel mfgs. say no, but it looks like they should work. I would also like to use 285 X 40 X 17 tires on them on all 4 corners. Any input would be helpful.

    tranny griding in 4th

    I love my 98 Cobra, but the tranny is and always has been a piece of s***. Mine grinds to 2nd on a hard shift anywhere over 6000 rpm if it goes at all. They say using the shift forks from a 99 will cure the problem, but...? And yes, 1 bad syncro is possible.
