    The clutch is easy to adjust , hard to explain . Look in the drivers side engine compartment by the firewall. You have a crank that runs from the frame to the bellhousing, this should have a long threaded rod with a nut on it that you can tighten or release to adjust the clutch. I am assuming...

    They use to sell a dye that pinpointed leaks in the older AC system I dont know if they still do. You might want to check since it be cheaper then letting a mechanic do it.

    "More likely that you cured the problem when you pulled and replaced the head gaskets. Not uncommon to find where some dimwit, installed them backwards, and that's a sure fire way to overheat a 351C. 351M or 400. With em backwards, the coolant cannot get out of the heads back to the radiator."...

    Clutch Install, Chatter, U joint failure

    Did you check driveshaft alignment , tranny mount, grease the u-joints also check that the bellhousing bolts have been tighten all the way. Sometimes the chatter can be stopped by adjusting the clutch linkage.

    I would guess throw out bearing, if you put the clutch in backwards its almost impossible to get it in gear so you can rule that out.

    Check with cylinder head shops nearby you, they usually have heads already done. All you have to do is trade yours in and give up some cash. Going the cheap way on this will definetly get you bit in the a$$ sooner or later.
