    Green/Red is for the charging circuit. Brown/Yellow is for the Cooling Fan on the 2.3L. Light Blue is for the Coolant sensor.

    Sounds like you don't have the snap-in adapters attached to the base of the battery. A 34/78 fits fine in the stock battery tray with the adapters.

    The double BK/W wires are used to test the windshield washer pump. Usually there is a grey connector shell around them. The round 2-pin plug is likely to be part of the A/C harness. An extension harness connects the plug to the compressor.

    Hvac Temperature Control Cable.

    I've never had to replace a cable, but from what I understand the preset adjustment gives you a starting point for the self adjustment. Without the preset it is possible to kink the cable because it will be forced to open/close the blend door after the door has already reached its limit.
