I was starting to think it may have been the air pump and just looked and saw it was there. I'll try a JY piece but first it has been suggested that I unplug it and plug it back in to see if that may just fix it.

as a followup to my original post - the code was caused by a faulty gas cap. I ordered one today from ford and will install it in a few days - after that the code will go away. The problem was the gas cap was not venting and when I went to close it - the cap would not click after is was closed...
