looking for website for a shop in philly

I'm not disagreeing with the quality of work. However, I do think he is overpriced. If he was a little bit cheaper, it would save me a 2+ hour ride to Kauffmans. JD's is about 20 mins. away from me.

Just wondering if anyone on here goes to meets in the Philadelphia region. I live in Bucks so I routinely go to Bucks County meets and some northeast philly meets. Anyone else?

    which tune should i get??

The dyno tune should be cheaper. Just go to your local sped shop, get them to install the SCT chip with a dyno tune. At my local speed shop, the chip is $325 and then an additional $100 for the dyno tune..

    Actual results? 3.73 vs 4.10

I agree with the statement: 5 speed- 3.73's Auto- 4.10's I have an auto thus I'm going with the 4.10's in addition to a dyno tune. I'm a daily driver.

    Actual results? 3.73 vs 4.10

From what I hear, everyone who has the 3.73's wishes they had 4.10's..I'm not familar with the actual results from the 3.73's, but I hear 4.10's can knock a good half second off your 1/4..but *****, I say go with the 4.30's :D

    Buying Gears...few questions

Thanks for the help! After the gears and the dyno tune, I want to get down to the track. I'm hoping I'll be able to get below 13.5

    Buying Gears...few questions

I'm having a local guy do the install for me. He owns his own "rears and gears" shop. Can't beat $125 for the install. I'll contact SCT and see what they say about adjusting my speedo and shift points. I have no idea what would be correct lol.

    Buying Gears...few questions

Thanks for the help. How much did the baseline dyno run cost you? Was there any additional charge to send those results to a tuner for them to customize a tune for you?

    Buying Gears...few questions

Thanks for the replies everyone. As far as the dyno tune, I got an estimate from a local speed shop (the only one around my area) and they estimated that the chip/tune would cost about $700. That's a little too steep for me considering the SCT Xcalibrator 2 is in the $300 range. If I do go...

    Buying Gears...few questions

Decided to get the FRPP 4.10 gears. I have a 2000 automatic gt with few mods (exhaust and tires). As for the other stuff needed to successfully have the gears installed, I plan on purchasing a kit from stangstore and it "...INCLUDES PINION & CARRIER SHIMS, CRUSH SLEEVE, PINION SEAL, PINION...

    Look What I Got

I'm the same way bro. I hate spending money. It's such a horrible feeling :( It took me over 6 months to buy my exhaust.

    Gears..and what else?

Sounds good. I heard a custom tune is best, but costs around $400. Little pricey for me. Any cheaper alternative?

    Gears..and what else?

Sounds good. SO I don't need a tune or anything? Also, how long do you recommend I drive around before getting on them?

    Gears..and what else?

I plan on getting 4.10's for my auto 2000 GT shortly. I know a guy that can install them for $175. He used to work at FORD, but recently retired. Anyhow, what else besides gears do I need for a successful installation? I have 25k miles on my car. Only mods are o/r h pipe and magnapack...

    MRT o/r vs MAC o/r H

Never heard the MRT H pipe, but I can't imagine it sounding much different than the MAC o/r H pipe. I have the MAC. The sound is insane. Very old school, deep, muscle car rumble. I got mine HTS coated for $160. Howerver, the MAC costs about $500. Think of it this way- the MAC (with HTS...
