    Daily Fox

My '87 was DD'd from new. My son now uses it as his DD, 245K miles later.... Cheaper to keep it on the road than a new car and still a blast to drive.

Fox Old Engine, Blown Head Gasket, New Heads?

With 220K and ripped down to the heads, I'd be rebuilding or replacing the bottom end.

    Fox Vibration After Gear Change

My bet would be the backlash is fine. I agree with Mikestang63, check the driveshaft first. I had the same isssue when I went from 2:73's to 3:55's, installed an alum. driveshaft and smooth as glass.

94-95 Gt As A Daily Driver?

Really, I did DD every winter for years. If it's your only car and you love driving it, you can do anything you set your mind to. My comment wasn't to offend anyone. I know most drivers don't want to chance wreaking there Mustang in adverse conditions and just purchase another car or truck...

    300.000 Mile Marker

I contacted Ford when I hit 200K with a letter and pics, and got a standard coorespondence back asking me what questions I had for them, and got some literature about the new Fords coming out. Then I was on their email list for service and rebates on new cars. So don't waste your time, Ford...

94-95 Gt As A Daily Driver?

Whoever said No to winter driving doesn't know how to drive. I've driven my Stang in the winter for 20 some years in NE PA. I've seen it all. I ran Blizzak tires on a second set of rims and you can get around fine. No more maintanence or repair as any other car. Go for it.

Engine Losing Coolant For A Couple Years

Possibly it is dripping out the weep hole. Mine was recent leaking from the side of the gasket of the waterpump, putting in a little into the overflow for years. It was a wet on the side of the pump/timing cover. Finally got around to swap it out. After you get the car up to operating...

New Window Run Channel Liner Doesn't Seem Tight

I just did mine over the spring. The top pic at the bend, you might need to jam it up into the groove a little more and give it some more slack.. Use a wooden paint stirrer to help push it up into the channel without damaging the rubber. Not sure about the bottom in the door frame, did you...

Restoration Project - Questions And Ideas

Your right, but everyone is genuinely trying to help you. In any project, no matter what you want to do, or have, it all comes down to money. You even said you have a limited budget and other bills, we don't want you do run into a money pit. We'd like you to get your car running and looking...

Restoration Project - Questions And Ideas

I found with estimates on home projects, they usually end up being twice the price after your said and done, I figure car resto's are the same. You always run into problems. So heed the warning from the other posts on this thread. Do you really want to be driving around in a $25K-$40K foxbody...

    questions

Since the '88 cars have speed density except for the california cars, the '89's use a Mass Air Flow Sensor. Did you add a new MAF?

Where to buy Heater Hoses that fit?

Carquest will probably have them. I usually find things there. Also look at www.rockauto .com Click to your vehicle and under "Heat & Air Conditioning", click on "Heater hose" you should find what your looking for there.

    Polyurethane Trans Mount???

I seem to recall reading that you shouldn't mix or match as well, but like Cardudeusa says, I too have been running a poly trans mount with stock motor mounts for 10 years now.

    oil weight question

10W-30 here. Try to run the thinnest you can. I notice a difference if I use 10W-40.

    rear quarter windows

By "seal" you mean the outside rubber edge around the rear quarter windows themselves? I know they get dried out and I replainted mine. Latemodel Resto has a set if you need new ones. 1987-93 Mustang Hatchback Quarter Windows at LRS - Same Day Shipping!

    AOD has no overdrive

It's not the valve body, it's the classic burnt, worn out Overdrive band. The band is so worn, the overdrive doesn't engage, and in your case, only sometimes. You'll have to remove the trans to replace this, and every shop or mechanic will tell you that if your going in to replace that, you...

    door edge guards

Just use some paint chip paint to fill them in. I personally don't like the look of guards. Be more careful when you open your doors.
